gyenesvi defenitly is one of the greatest people in the community. He has his "magic eagle eye view"™️ that spots all good and bad details of any build within seconds!😂
It's always amazing to see the alts that actually look good. That Jeep with removable body is really nice, and the detailing on the inside of the defender alt is also neat.
lol glad you did this video! This guy’s stuff is great! I bought the Mercedes g500 just to do his Land Rover alt build! It’s great, way better than either the official technic defender set (it being based on the “modern” defender) or the creator defender set!
I have 42160 and the mercedes so I might build some of them at some point... The bronco looks awesome too! Congrats to the designer for great models :)
The problem is, the alternate builds aren't all that alternative. And the problem lies with Lego itself, which kind of sells the idea that there is one official build these days, and that's it. Now people AREN'T thinking as out of the box as they used to.
1. LEGO, please make an even better/faster version of Mould King's 18001 Desert Racing RC....it is legit fast and FUN. 2. I don't like the idea of combining multiple builds to make a Frankenstein, just doesn't feel right. Sticking with the single model can really force some gems(diamonds), that is when these alt builds shine. 3. Lego needs to upgrade their electronics capabilities....love the content!
To add to your second point - a combined alternate model gives the designer the ability to motorize a non-motorized set and add advanced features, like in the case of the Bronco. A simple "buy this and that motor and hub" wouldn't be enough.
Defender 90 (42177) - rebrickable.com/s/RacingBrick/gyenesvi/MOC-204887
Polaris RZR (42160) - rebrickable.com/s/RacingBrick/gyenesvi/MOC-163341
Ford Bronco (42126 + 42129) - rebrickable.com/s/RacingBrick/gyenesvi/MOC-139309
Willys Jeep (42110) - rebrickable.com/s/RacingBrick/gyenesvi/MOC-73674
Which is your favorite
Rebrickable presentations are much more interesting than the original sets nowdays.
I love the rebrickable series

I built the Jeep a couple months ago. Its a great build, the instructions are very comprehensive and the completed model is very robust

I think all of these builds are pretty different with a lot of unique solutions, worth to take a closer look
Creating a jeep with a defended is cursed lol. Nice MOC btw.
