Patrick’s voice is just too amazing ..
Live is an experience. AMAZING!
It’s like sunshine peeking through the branches of a tree on a warm summer day
I always come back to this performance because I already love the song but the deliverance Patrick brings is stunning. I always feel the words so deep in my soul when I listen.
This song is so moving. Never have I heard anything quite like it and it's ability to reflect, release and try again. At the very least the great escape is promised in the end and although we may want it sooner, living is to try again.
Such a beautiful person Patrick Watson, boy are you special. Listened to this song for years I'm glad there is a live version.

There was a place in Highway 410 while driving bound for Toronto just before midnight whilst snowing lightly, when you will catch the full inspiration of this melody. Beautiful.

It's so sad but my god it's so beautiful , my emotions swell in my heart like the sea when I listen to this reality , this beautiful hope that lifts my soul to a level where I can see everything
Was looking for the great escape by boys like girls and clicked thinking it was a cover… but stayed when I heard this mans amazing voice 😮 also realized I already listen to some of his music 😂 To Build A Home by him is beautiful❤
Sometimes I listen to such masterpieces and revel in the silences. All the unspoken emotions he captures so beautifully: fear, disappointment, grief, but ultimately he brings us back to ourselves.
