If you get the chance to see him live, I recommend deeply. The group always improvise a part of the concert, which is just magical. One concert, they made the last song last about 5-10 minutes. Everyone was transported. BEAUTIFUL 💛
@@poppyvasmaridaki5163 it's literally about a big bird in a cage a tad too small that the band saw in one of their mate's house (or somewhere else, but I'm certain about the first part)
This concert is like my safe place, even after watching it a hundred times I still laugh at the same jokes from Patrick, I still cry listening to the songs, and still be amazed at how the sound and image of this concert were so well shot. Thanks for sharing it, it means so much! 🖤
This man and his band are just phenomenal....only 3 weeks ago this evening, my 6 year old son and I were in London, experiencing them live again at The Barbican. Another unforgettable experience and something we will never forget. Thank you Patrick and the band.....you fill our hearts to the brim with your beautiful music.
I was at that concert - it will always mark the beginning of Covid for me as we became aware of it walking around London. It seemed somewhat unreal. I remember being nervous about going into the Barbican for the PW concert but it was a magical evening, starting with the choir. It was the last concert I went to. I've really missed live music, and love small intimate gigs, but I'm still nervous about indoor spaces. Lucky we can enjoy these wonderful concerts on UA-cam.

This album is so special to me. I dealt with a lot of loss when it came out and the music on Wave album was therapeutic. I have loved Patrick Watson for years but this is my favorite album of his. Dream of dreaming, here comes the river and strange rain are my favorites. I would love to see him perform in concert.
The nostalgia that is associated with music...Wow this takes me back to high-school when I used to listen to the album "Adventures in your own backyard" after school near everyday. Happy and good family times. Relaxing way to be able to feel some of the harder emotions, so thank you for this.
Chills! I’m full of goosebumps! My kid just introduced me to this! The instrumentation and the singing and the melodies. Wow. My kid is 13 so I am so glad I actually taught her to like music like this. I’m so proud right now.
I am blown away. I knew I liked Patrick Watson but I have never seen him perform like this and I am blown away. Believe in what resonates in you heart. ❤️
Every time I hear » here comes the river » .It bring al my forgotten injury’s to the surface. It is like a therapy session with a therapist. Thank you Patrick Watson to write and play such powerful and beautiful song .❤
Melody Noir is probably one of my favorite songs ♪ and Here Comes The River for its sublime melody and grace. But I'm also so in love with The Great Escape and Small Bird in a Cage... There are no words to describe the feeling(s), only pure emotions travelling inside and through you.
Omg I love his music so much! There's not a lot of artists that makes you feel the way Patrick and his band does...just gets to the soul, very deep. It makes me cry. Thank you so much for such beautiful music :')
Unfortunately I can't like several times... but been here 10 times this last month... And still hooked by this performance. Thanks a lot to all the team who made this concert possible !!
Thank you CBC Music for posting. Wonderful music, but especially in the isolation of the covid pandemic. The album is terrific but this live performance is fabulous.
Dire qu'il me touche et me fascine semble juste.
Glad YT led you here! You might light Patrick Watson's performance in the Junos 365 Songwriters' Circle from earlier this year: ua-cam.com/video/5VvhelWsl-s/v-deo.html
I saw this dude in Portland just before the pandemic shut everything down. I'd never even heard of him and went with my girlfriend. Been a big fan ever since.
One day, when he has turned to dust, he will live on. Why ? Because he created beauty and shared it with the world forever more. I wish I could do the same.
I love so much! Obrigada! Patrick, hai una voce equilibrata, soft and so wow.... seducente!

Some of the deepest lyrics, deepest feels, and he just laughs in between songs like it's all a game.

Also not to mention his super personable crowd engagement.

I stood there still
As a wave came and washed on by
I watched as change came
To change me before it said goodbye
It broke my body
As it crashed into my sleeping mind
I tossed I turned as I learned to let it wash on by
Just got to take your time
I'll see you on the other side
A wave she came and washed away all the ground I was standing on
But the ground was shaking anyhow
It took your breath and dragged you down
But you kept swimming anyhow
I'll see you on the other side
A 36 foot feeling's overwhelming me
Just let the waves come crashing down
I'll see you on the other side
Just let the waves come crashing down
Let it wash over top of your life
Let it wash over top of your life
Let it wash over top of your life
Let it wash over top of your life
