What is your signal chain for tracking?
Api 3124v, Api 550a x2, SSL Bus +. I'm looking at the Retro Doublewide for bass and electric guitar, but considering two Neve 535s for bass, mix bus, drums. Considering the 5254, 535s, or the Shelford channel. I prefer API for synth-based music. Just picked up a Zahl EQ1 based on your videos.
These videos of yours are by far the best audio demos on hardware found on UA-cam. Good examples, very calm and clean on/off/bypass and many different signals. I really enjoy these videos!

@@TeddyCoke I have to admit I’m very nervous regarding the video. The expectations are so high, since this is one of the best, if not the best compressor there is. I have to nail this one.
@@phable I feel you, when I made my Mpressor Qube video I ended up reshooting the whole thing two times as wanted to translate how good really it is, did test uploads than realised through youtube slight difference will not be noticeable so went back and gone hard on ironing the tracks. You are very good musician and you feel it how to do really good demos, Iam sure Elysia will be proud of you. If you would give a sneak peak for a test audience sign me up :)

How does it compare to the 535? I have two 535s and I'm wondering if it would be overkill to add the 5254.
From what I understand, they are the same design as the 5254. So there is no need to upgrade.
There is slightly more headroom in the 5254.

Meine signal chain ist Arturia minifuse 1 XLR Eingang in die DAW haha, feiere dein Content anders und eine Frage, was kann ich in der Audioengineering-Welt machen um mir auch so viel Traum equipment leisten zu können? Alpha compressor, spl gear, ein eigenes Studio mit Konsole usw krass geiler stuff!!!

Hi can you recommend 1 compressor and 1 eq as a master buss chain.. I´m adding it to an ssl big six and can only afford 1 compressor and 1 eq as master section insert.
For now im thinking the Wess Audio NG buss comp paired with the Tegeler EQP,1 but I would love to hear your recommendations..
I´m thinking I can get a better EQ than the EQP,1. Any recommendations. Thanks so much.
