    ABOUT THE ACADEMY
    The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is the world's preeminent movie-related organization, with a membership of more than 6,000 of the most accomplished men and women working in cinema. In addition to the annual Academy Awards-in which the members vote to select the nominees and winners-the Academy presents a diverse year-round slate of public programs, exhibitions and events; provides financial support to a wide range of other movie-related organizations and endeavors; acts as a neutral advocate in the advancement of motion picture technology; and, through its Margaret Herrick Library and Academy Film Archive, collects, preserves, restores and provides access to movies and items related to their history.     Was very lucky to see ANN-MARGRET perform her live shows @ Cesars Palace and The Hilton ~ such a wonderful and exciting performer , dancer , singer ~
    One of THE BEST shows i have ever experienced ! Love ANN-MARGRET ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Three women from this era will always be timeless, Ann Margret, Sophia Loren, and Raquel Welch. I love these videos of a time when I actually enjoyed watching the Oscars. I am 60 now and haven't watched them in a very, very long time. I miss the old actors/actress of those days.

    the disconnect between the quality and freshness of ceremonies back then and the sheer quality of films they honored is staggering. These are so staid and old, the films were so good, though.

    I do not watch the Academy Awards! I used to back in the 70's. Today it is all actor's lecturing politically! I do not respect any of them!

      chevy chase was known for his pratfalls, did them pretty much weekly on snl. he was just playing to type there. funny moment anyway, though!

      could you please put that performance of Ann Margret doing bachelor in paradise..that made her star..why isn't anyone letting us see that great performance with that great voice.....if Ann Margret reads this please let your fans see that wonderful performance.....this would be a good time to show it as so many Vietnam vets appreciated you speaking for them......you have these people wanting to see it ....a man who fought in Vietnam and goes to my church couldn't stop talking about you...let people see 1962 academy awards ..you dancing and singing bachelors in paradise and dedicate it to all the Vietnam vets..he says their are a lot dying in hospitals right now...I want to go help and teach them art and can't get in..as I called the no.you said for us to call..all the woman talked about was the memorial...I said I want to help teach them art....she didn't care about the ones still alive...Ann Margret help them.get to the ones that are sick...
