Some good reminders of things. That Save As tip was the absolute best! I've been missing that feature. I rarely remember to duplicate the document/file before doing my editing.

OMG: I never used GO TO DESKTOP (CMD -SHIFT D) because it was too close to Duplicating! (CMD D). I just need to SHIFT my mindset. LOVE THIS KEYBOARD COMMAND
David A. Cox, I'm a long-time Mac user and fan of yours. I didn't know many of these shortcuts. At one time, I made myself a list of shortcuts from the ones in system preferences but it got lost in the shuffle of years of daily living. I absolutely loved this video!
My favourite shortcut is pressing space bar when you have selected a file in Finder to get a preview of 1st page of document - very useful thanks. I also like shortcuts for bookmarking, ejecting attached storage, new document (in Pages), open file (in Pages) save as and undo.

When showing a friend how to cut & past I was asked, "What does the V stand for?" and my immediate answer was, "VOILA!" ;-) This makes it easy to remember!

Related... I like to disable that annoying 'caps-lock' key. It's easy to do, and easy to revert if necessary. Doing so still allows caps to be typed as always; but won't allow them to be locked on (as is often done by accident).
From system prefs in the Apple Menu, select 'keyboard'. Then be sure 'keyboard' in the upper horizontal menu is selected and click the 'modifier keys' button near the bottom right; and change the 'caps lock' pull down menu to 'no action'.
Press 'Ok' and your done!
I bet you never look back!

David, Since I.m somewhat still new to the Macbook, I thought you would make it easy to get the PDF without strings attached. But the WE connection makes us agree to all the crap that goes along with it. Oh, well guess free isn’t always free. I’ll still keep watching, learning and enjoying your videos.

Sadly, I have a 2011 iMac and the couple of your shortcuts I tried did not work on my machine. But this is a great video with a long list of shortcuts. Thanks!
Most of the shortcuts mentioned date from Classic, so it is quite surprising.

How do you make a keyboard shortcut to a website?
Are you hitting the PLUS sign?? because command+(whattever) does not work.
how to change language when typing ?
I have Sierra 10.12.6 and tried the command-shift-5 but all I get is a "ding", no bar at bottom of page. If I try same with -4 then I can capture with the mouse and cross hair. Is my machine too old???
Sorry but Sierra didn’t have that feature. Something to look forward to down the line! 👍🏼
