    I wish they were more affordable. I have over 400 plants and over 60 6 inch and 8 inch pots of Calathea, ctenanthe, maranta and stromanthe. I would go broke just putting them in these planters but they are the ones I would love to have them in. I have a few 3 gallon pots. They are really out for me. Love the white. I guess I'm stuck watering every 4-5 days on these.

      For plants that are potted Deltini mini and in PON only:
      - water the plant trough the top
      - put water until the water level indicator (red stick inside the plastic tube) rises to the MAX mark
      - when the water level indicator drops to MIN mark, wait for 3-5 days and water the plant.

      Hi Jemzor!
      Plants can be potted in PON substrate.
      I prefer to use PON instead of a potting mix for smaller plants because the PON is heavy and, if used in larger pots, moving large plants around becomes challenging :)
      You may place your Peace Lily, keeping all the original soil around its roots, in a new pot and add PON to fill up the empty space around the plant.
      Keeping the soil will make it easy to test the moisture levels to know when your plant is ready to be watered.
      May your plant grow happy and healthy!

      @Mycityplants  2 роки тому +1

      Hello,
      Thank you for watching 🌱
      Either way works.
      I prefer to keep some soil around the roots as this allows me to test the moisture levels with my favorite tool - soil moisture meter before watering. I guess I like to be more in control :)
      When a plant is potted in Pon and all the soil is completely removed, you just need to fill up the reservoir, wait for a plant to drink it all.
      Then, when the reservoir is empty, do not refill it right away. Pon holds moisture and that is why some extra time (dry phase) is needed before watering a plant again.

    • @Mycityplants
      @Mycityplants  3 роки тому

      It is best to water Monstera plants when the soil is dry 3/4 way down.
      For 6" plants dry phase approx. 7 days, for 10" plants approx. 2 weeks.
      How fast the soil dries out mostly depends on the light and indoor temperature.
      Bright light + warm temperature = soil dries out faster.
      I strongly recommend getting the Soil Moisture Meter.

      @Mycityplants  2 роки тому +2

      Hi Simon,
      PON only is good.
      Plants potted in PON in Deltini planter have different watering routine.
      You need to pour water through the top (through the PON) and watch the red stick inside the plastic tube (water level indicator) until the red stick is a the Max mark.
      While water is running through the PON, PON absorbs the water + it pulls the water from the reservoir when needed.
      After the red stick is back down to Min mark, wait for 5 or so days (foliage plants) or 10 or so days (succulents/cacti), then water your plant.
