Valiant Hearts: The Great War - All taxi driving sequences

- This videofeatures all the three sequences from Valiant Hearts: The Great War where you get to pilot Anna's taxi, dodging various obstacles and trying to reach the end of each level with your car still in one piece.
Here are the three sequences in order of appearence:
1) Danger from above (00:00)
2) Taxi Cancan (2:40)
3) Fight of the bumblebee (4:43)
It's worth mentioning that each taxi sequence follow one or two classical pieces of music, with the obstacles and enemy attacks following their rhythm almost perfectly. Danger from above follows the melody of Hungarian Dance No. 5 by Brahms, Taxi Cancan has (obviously) Offenbach's Can Can running in the background and Fight of the bumblebee a mixture of Flight of the Bumblebee by Rimsky-Korsakov and A Night On Bald Mountain by Mussorgsky.
On a pure gameplay perspective, while Danger from above and Taxi Cancan are a sudden change in the adventure game gameplay but otherwise kind of easy to get through, Fight of the bumblebee isn't a pushover at all and the tank will kick you ass several times before you learn its attack patterns. In the end, it's all a matter of learning all the moves it has and react accordingly (althought leaving the sequence unscarred is very difficult) - Ігри
One of the only games about war to not portray the other side as evil.
Well most war games are about World War 2 and the big main reason why that war is so famous and popular is because its one of the very few wars that was about good vs evil.
@@CyberLance26 even though the allies did some questionable things too
@@saulgoodmansentme1992 well whatever its war after all
Yeah ww1 was on the western front is where things happen the rest was boreing and well it was France be germany with some others volunteering therw was no bad or good its just a bloodbath with nothing to gain from it like Karl said on the diary that war was so senseless
@@CyberLance26 bad train of thought to get into
For a World War 1 puzzle game, it has bosses that would make Metal Slug proud.
I think its world war 2
I might be wrong
@@_calamari_5988 No mate, it's definitely World War One.
@@_calamari_5988 ;-;
I was just thinking im such a retard
I love how it's all in sync with the music
That's the point
Was gonna reply that lol

I love the way it's all timed to the music
Thats the point
Whew. I think it’s over.
The Can-can: *Thats where your wrong kiddo*
I love how you have to dodge things to the music
The ending of the game made me sad
My friend...it made EVERYONE sad.
the last two songs are "Flight of the bumblebees" and "A night on bald mountain".
The first is Johannes Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 5 in G Minor, u can listen to it in spotify
@@mswijn According to the office soundtrack, they put the piece at the Allegro pace.
Flight of the bumblebee fight. Hand grenades thrown: 16, barrels thrown: 21, total: 37.
Amazing gameplay! Love the music! Also who ever does Anna's voice is amazing!! Even if she does not talk much throughout the game.
Yup
she can be awesome uber taxi driver!
Thank you for the video! I like this game and when I talk about it to my friends I usually mention these musical levels. Now I have a good source to show ;)
By the way, "Danger from above" is Brahms, Hungarian Dance No. 5.
Thank you
Asahnoln
sorry sir this is a non commie server so no swearing
I play the taxi car levels every day
I can't stop crying ;(
I like that the French flag bearer Just had to sit on the top of the Taxi
Literally the best leves in the game
By far one of my most favorite parts of the game it's just so satisfying
At 0:51 I see this as the first plane to have synchronization gears. And these were the first plane models used with this old but new and advanced technology of the time. A synchronization gear pretty much were made to not shoot the propeller of your plane. In short term you can say this is a way not to friendly fire yourself
That's pretty cool! Thank you for sharing, pal. 🙂👍
When Yahtzee reviewed this game in a double bill he said these parts were delightful. Damn straight they are!
3:05 me and the boys be like:

Knowing how fast these things actually can go especially in rugged terrain kind of breaks the immersion for me. Just for me.
How fast can they actually go? Is it "outrunning a plane" quick?
@@ryanhernandez8324 They're slow in real life. They wouldn't reach the top speed necessary especially in these conditions.
@@EzekielDeLaCroix Damn! Well, there's a mite few more improbable things in this game, if you dislike immersion-breaking, that might turn you off to it. Sorry!
@@ryanhernandez8324 Thanks, Ryan.
One of few games to use Classical music and it making a specific part much better
A sequel taking place in WWII should have a level where you control a member of Flight Squadron 303 and dodge incoming Messerschmitts and flak attack synced with Ride of the Valkyries
The composer of Ride of the Valkyries, Richard Wagner, was Hitler's favorite composer, and I think Nietzsche basically dedicated an entire work of his to pointing out how bad Wagner himself was. Putting that on while _fighting_ Nazis would be top irony.
toreto es un poroto al aldo de esta mina jajajajajaja
3:10 Can can ;)
Imagine how many francs Anna added to the 70,012 bill. (Wikipedia info, but hilariously enough the taxis apparently were running their meters the whole run - on the treasury's dime!)
where i can find the music in the valiant hearts version, i liked so much how they do the soundtrack on the game
omg Hail Von Dorf
What! Are storm troopers piloting those planes
j capo Ah the German Luftwaffe there uniforms buietiful
@SilverTalon007 I think he was commenting on their aiming skills

You Know That One Pokemon Episode Where Team Rocket Uses A Tank? Well When Watching That It Reminded Me Of The Third Taxi Driving Sequence IN This Game I Can Imagine Team Rocket Almost Killing Ash With That Vehicle In The Third Sequence Like Jessie Firing The Machine Gun And James Firing The Shells At Ashes Vehicle Then Meowth Throwing Grenades And Then Barrels That Would Be That Anyone Agree?
What is the song that plays on the third sequence?

Hungarian dance No.5
Remember, when Ubisoft was great?

I wish this game showed Emile with the French solider uniform rather than a tank top or apron
They did at the beginning of the game. He was wearing it until the Battle of the Frontiers. The original blue and red uniforms.
Yea o know but. He lost it for the entire game after that
6:58 Does Anyone Know The Name Of That Song?
I think it is flight of the bumblebees full version
and a little of night on bald mountain
Which one plays during the ''taxi waltz''?
+Juliansnake1000 It's a piece by Offenbach. Something with infernal galop..

Yeah i know already, i hadn't seen anything up until this point and so i didn't know the backstory behind these scenes and looking back i now realize that it was pretty obvious those are Armored Cars but i'm just dumb.

Im pretty sure the red baron was in WWI and was the Fokker Dr1 Dreidecker.
and the red baron was originally Manfred Von Richthofen which took the name red baron by the british
