Thank you, and I have to say, You guys were flying! I don't know how you found so much wind, but congratulations to you and Firewater on such an impressive finish!!
I used the PereGuard 4" keel guard from Amazon. It worked for the trip, but I wouldn't really say it's worth it. I prepped the hull correctly but the glue didn't really hold up and it's peeling away in areas. There are more expensive brands out there that probably have better glue. Good luck finding one, and if you find one that holds up over time, let me know :)
On the windrider it's really comfortable. I have a thermarest pad on the floor of the boat in the forward hull area, and only used my blanket to keep warm. I had a really nice sleeping bag with me, but never took it out of the waterproof bag the whole trip.
I brought both hatch covers with me, when it was raining, I'd put both on, when it was nice out, I left them off and just slid into my little spot. It was much more comfortable and easy then it looks
Beautiful sunrise. That was a lot of boats in the pass but looks like it saved you a lot of time. Those were some big waves you encountered.
Those sunrises were something else! I loved the mornings just about as much as the sunsets
Great Video. Loved the rollers pushing you in.
Thank you, and yeah, the rollers were pretty fun :)
80 miles is a good run--nice job!
Thank you, I was pretty happy with it :). It's My longest run to date, and it will be hard to beat
Awesome!!
Thank you again, I appreciate your encouraging comments
Id forgot that you actually had good sailing conditions for a part of a day !
Yeah, with how bad it was overall for sailing, there were a few good hours in there where I was cruising in the right direction
Nice going...and staying awake!!

What kind of keel guard did you use for the WindRider 17.

How is sleeping at anchor?

@@sailingslowmotion did you have a hatch cover over you? Or were you out in the open?
