For the trick with the card passing through the phone, I think I figured it out. The phone gimmick slides apart to open a slit in the middle, and the magician can slide a card through it. This mechanism is covered up by the case. When he taps the case on the table, it closes the slit, and he can take it out of the case, where it looks like a solid object. Note how the lines of the phone object run the same direction as the slit, making it easy to hide a seam.

Like many British coastal towns, Blackpool is an odd mix of counter-cultures, seaside vaudeville, and very (very) seedy criminality. It's really bloody grim. But also quite interesting.
I had no idea they held magic conventions there, but it makes as much sense as the high crime rate. Plus the mix of snazzy magicians and rainy old Blackpool is too funny.

Some 3x3x3 puzzle cubes have caps at their centers, so he could have took the signed cap from one cube and slipped it onto a prepared cube in a jar.
    Thats just my guess tho.

the signed square is on the side of the jar tho not at the top where the opening is and there's not enough space for the cube to turn in the jar so I don't think that's quite what happened there

Just a guess on the rubix cube trick: The cube starts in the jar in the bag (well mostly). First a magicians choice. Then he puts a shell cube in the bag. Then he gets the volunteer to sign the CENTRE of the cube. When in the bag, the centre is released, and stuck into the (near complete) cube that is in the jar. The rest of the signed cube in placed in the shell, removed and disposed of.

I dont actually live in blackpool but i do live in england and i have respect for chris and seeing him come to england is exciting u know, im a fan, him being here is like “omg i hope he likes it” and then he goes and says that shit😂 like jheez. Brutal. And yea it may be the truth but i mean like manners? People are fans of u and they probs live there and want u to enjoy it and stuff and u just call it a shithole😂like jheez man. And dont come at me for lying about living in blackpool, i live in england and blackpools a part of england so i did take his comments to heart a bit. When he said it i liked him less instantly and ive been doing magic for 3 and a half years now - ive been subscribed to chris simce he was at like 10k. Like idk just instant feeling of “f off who are u” when he said that.
Hopefully u guys can see where im coming from, not asking u to agree, just understand and peace out from england which is my home so dont come here and slag it off especially when there are people here who choose to look up to u🤦‍♂️
