They weren't innocent, in that they never did anything wrong, they were innocent in that they weren't part this spy game between Myers, Hansen and Songbird. The dialogue clued me in. Everyone here is in it to save themselves and evidently at the sacrifice of others. I initially sympathized with Alex and her quest for a normal life after getting stuck for years as a bartender, under cover and forgotten. But after the execution and just chalking it up to "standard operating procedure," I knew they were in this for themselves and promises made by Myers. Myers would go on to execute everyone at the lunar transit station for them simply being there as contingency. Reed and Alex's interaction would be no different than killing a doctor, engineer or logistics officer hired to help Hansen for a job and then move on.
Not to mention they were foreign nationals. Government officials executing another country's citizens is kind of a big no-no in international politics.

You had to kill your way to get to survival however FIA is killing people to capture a walking weapon of mass destruction. Honestly there is no real good from whoever wins. As V i was skeptical of anybody offering a "cure" for me so i played along essentially working my way to songbird to get her away from a corporation that want's her netrunning blackwall hacking skills to exploit against arasaka. All paths to disentangling johnny from V inevitably lead to arasaka. Ask yourself this is the cure worth the cost of giving a mega corporation or country an edge to rule the world with? In the end any path of a cure for V always ends the same either being screwed over or killed on their terms NOT yours. Sometimes the cure is not worth the cost.
I find it funny that you kill probably so many people in this game up to that point and you can still be like "HOW DARE YOU MURDER SOMEONE?!" like fr anybody putting the blame on Reed without doin a pacifist run is a fcking hypocrite. In all honesty, as messed up as this was, it's hard to feel sorry for 90 percent of the people in Cyberpunk when they're all scum bags in one way or another.
Lying and paranoia are VERY useful as survival mechanisms. It's not a black-and-white world which is why I love it. It's people trying to live and survive another day.

You had to kill your way to get to survival however FIA is killing people to capture a walking weapon of mass destruction. Honestly there is no real good from whoever wins. As V i was skeptical of anybody offering a "cure" for me so i played along essentially working my way to songbird to get her away from a corporation that want's her netrunning blackwall hacking skills to exploit against arasaka. All paths to disentangling johnny from V inevitably lead to arasaka. Ask yourself this is the cure worth the cost of giving a mega corporation or country an edge to rule the world with? In the end any path of a cure for V always ends the same either being screwed over or killed on their terms NOT yours. Sometimes the cure is not worth the cost.
