It will be getting March security patch shortly(and along with A12 as well I hope) as motorola promised bi-monthly security updates.
I think this video should also focus on the quality of update. OnePlus make the last stable update so unstable that people had to rollback to previous Android version. It happened on my OnePlus 6.

The last word that you said. I am one of them. After Oneplus bricked my Oneplus 6, I got an iPhone 12. Though I didn’t like iOS initially, I am starting to like it now and not planning to go back to Android anytime soon. I just hope Google or Samsung makes Android phones as good as iPhones so that I can revert back to Android in future.
Absolutely right. The only reason I switched to an iPhone was due to lack of software updates on my OP 8 Pro. OP and Oxygen OS is still my favorite combo but lack of OS updates is a deal breaker. I hope they fix their trajectory or CP's Nothing recreates the OP magic. *Fingers crossed*
Yeah I am thinking of buying galaxy a34 even though it has that ugly teardrop display instead of realmi 10 pro plus(both same specs at same price). Just because Samsung will give 4 software updates and 5 years security patch😅
For what it's worth, I think more than checking how new the software versions are on each phone a more noteworthy thing is to get a better understanding of how these updates affect the phone. The phone's functionality and stability are more important than the software versions is what I personally feel. There's no guarantee that a new version and update fixes the device and makes the phone better to use sadly. This would be a more challenging task, but this could maybe be a possible series or so with each brand, especially when major ROM updates or Android updates show up to different kinds of devices possibly.

This is something! Though, I don't agree with you. I think Samsung is actually the best brand when it comes to Android Updates in an overall sense. Vivo, even though providing the latest software (on a timely basis) to its line up, will get restricted to only one more version update. One more Android Version update and they are done for. Whereas Samsung is offering 4 Years of Major Android Updates and 5 years of Security Updates (which by their current performance, I can say they are fairly timely) for S21 and above, 3 years (Android Versions) and 4 Years of Security Updates (Again, by seeing what they are doing right now, fairly timely) for S10s, S20s and As. I've personally seen them providing quite recent security updates to their budget line ups (Ms and As below 20k). Keeping all this in mind, and seeing how it has turned itself over the years, I think Samsung is the champion in the Android Space when it comes to Software Updates!
Surely, I have the S, the A, and the M series in my family. The S gets it first, then the A, and lastly the M; there is a time gap between the S and the M but it is not too much.
