give him time and he’ll be at his best. people are so quick to forget his last two seasons have been top level at a team like man united. he played through the 20/21 with major injuries and no rest. that’s obviously going to take a toll on his body. give him time, Rashford will shine.

I'm an Arsenal fan, but I'm not that deluded to disregard the abilities of talented players from other clubs because of rivalry. Rashford is a player that I admire not just as a player, but also as a humanitarian. The problem with his playstyle is that his skill set has already peaked. I see him more as a second striker or left winger than the main focus of attack. His ability to contribute other than scoring goals is outstanding like his work rate and energy. However, like @footballdaily mentioned, the frequent changing of managers has affected his role so much that inconsistency will be witnessed and criticized. I feel bad for the man, would love to have a player like him at Arsenal because of his passion and talent. Another great video, quality content

    • @SleeperJoe2024

I mean Rashford has never and will never be a striker, he’s always been a winger but regardless united are just rotten to the core, it’s as simple as that. Maybe Rashford has peaked early but united’s set up is Neanderthal-esque which doesn’t help any player at the club, terrible owners, no football experts at board level, no structured recruitment scheme, no set style of play to be implemented regardless of the manager etc.

I don't think he's a LW anymore, he's not as fluid in movement as in the past, more stiff, and I do think he's lost a yard tbh, and isn't really able to beat players, like past years

    • @mnnh1
      @mnnh1 2 роки тому

Definitely not a LW and not a striker either. He cuts onto his right foot too much to be considered any kind of left sided player and ha cannot provide a high enough ratio of quality crosses with his left foot to play there consistently. I don’t know where his place should be in the team TBH. I don’t think the manager does either….

@@mnnh1 he's a forward, he doesn't have a designated position, who does at United, that's why players don't improve, I mean Young and Valencia were United’s first choice full-backs, even though their wingers, Martial, Greenwood, got moved all over the pitch, Pogba's probably the king pf the "where's his position", first DM, 8 of a 3, LW, no.10, RW, Lingard no.10, then he's playing on the RW, Mctominay playing in CDM, when he's clearly a box-to-box no.8, same goes for Fred, Ronaldo not a back to goal CF, especially when he's not getting served, as the team I'd crap, he's more a free roam player, that plays off a focal point, he even said it himself, but United have ruined by playing as a static lamppost up front, then when he doesn't get service, he dropping to CB, to collect the ball, how can players improve, when United constantly move them all over the pitch

Here is my take. Rashford is never as good as people want him to be. It is evident in his decision-making. He 's a hardworker and he tries to give his all, but his limitations are very evident. Knowing all that I see no reason why Man u prioritized him as the future of their forward. He should have been paired with a superstar with amazing mentality to instill that in him the moment Lukaku left especially that the team looks like they could do with leadership and stability. Alas all that wasn't considered because he has a potential and also an English boy. This built too much expectations around him especially with the inconsistent results from Man U and the injuries he has suffered.
Also the fact that he likes spotlight (which is nothing wrong), yet still still it is still a factor.

I think the stats like shots and key passes are hard to judge him on because yes he isn’t at his best but the whole team is playing awful too and if he were in pep’s city obviously his numbers would be better united as whole don’t create many chances due to poor progression from the midfield and that means that Rashford has less time on the ball to create because Fred and mctominay take years to play it to him and then united side low chance creation means Rashford can’t take as many shots as he would want to. Pretty much I’m saying that the new manager (probably Potch) will need to get the team playing well AND boost Rashford’s confidence so that Rashford can play better by taking more shots and getting on the ball more often but we will have to see there is defo a great player in there like Sancho and the same needs to be done to Sancho

    • @Christian_Bagger
      @Christian_Bagger 3 роки тому +2

Yea exactly. Team lacks synergy and mentally everyone is subpar at the moment.
It’s not uncommon that you need to get back on track after a long injury. It’s not about his talent or skills or whatever, he came back and got into a bad form. Stuff like that twirls with your mind. And it doesn’t help that the midfield is as atrocious as it is.
It seems to me, that Rashford is trying to gap more than he can chew right now, in order to find a moment of brilliance to get is moral up again, which is futile. If you’re in his position, and your low on confidence; just go back to basic and play simple games, eventually you’ll kick back again. That’s also a coach’s job to do.
Even though the midfield has been absolutely appalling, and they’re probably not good enough, I also think that none of them are holding midfielder, and they’re doing a job that they aren’t comfortable with. Which again is a recruitment error. Right now you can put every top5 striker up on top, we’ll still get the same results because we’re not having the right players. Especially for a system like Rangick! His system is very rigid in what type of players that is needed in order to make it work, and we don’t have an abundance of that right now I’m afraid.
Also the dressing room needs to get sorted.. the leaks are unreal.. and even though it can be a bit thrilling to hear as viewer or fan, it’s never ever productive and it makes the dressing room toxic.
Jesus Christ.. we’ve fallen from glory….

I think it's 50/50, he has the attitude, why would he burn himself to the ground for the club if he doesn't. The english problem is however, true. A player doesn't develop on his own, no matter how good your attitude is, it's your environment that dictates your ceiling in some ways, this isn't a software job, it's football. If Ronaldo didn't play with Scholes, Rooney, Rio, Keane instead if he would've played with Bryan Ruiz, Tom huddlestone, charlie adam, then that's where he would've end up, like another pele wannabe, would've ended up like ben arfa to aaron lennon, not one of the GOATS. The manager is equally as important in this, if they manager doesn't know how to improve a player, then the years that the player will spend there under him is useless

If a manager can’t get wins from a squad that can have a starting eleven as the following one, I’m sorry but the fault does not lay on the “lethargic” legs of two of the best CF of this century.
    De Gea
    Dalot
    Maguire
    Varane
    Shaw
    Fred
    Matic
    Bruno
    Rashford
    Sancho
    Ronaldo
Reading the previous eleven lines, I think it’s clear that the issue lies on a very unbalanced side, with some of the best available talent in the front and a part from Varane and De Gea, mediocrity in the defense and midfield.
If having one of the best players of all time is a problem for any club, thank honestly the issue of this analysis starts with who wrote the video script..
My advise: take a step back and try to take a creative view on all the things that Ronaldo can help the team with.
    Not just goals, assists, pressing…..
But what he can offer and teach to the younger players ..
Having of the greats on your side is never a problem my friends, only for those that can’t see pass the curb..

That being said, its not as tho Rashford isnt english darling, yea sometimes someone complains but he is generally very well loved as both a player and a person, but its not unfair to hold players accountable for their on pitch showings, he simply needs to play better in the coming months, much like vast majority of the team.

But then I saw the stats on how many minutes he's played since his breakthrough and I shudder. He doesn't deserve to go the way of Alli or Neymar. I hope he gets the rest and support he needs to pull back up, even as I still hope Man United as a whole continue to flounder. Either way, the Explained did its job: I learned something, so thank you.

This is what Bruno and Rashford have been doing for 3 years, it’s only being pointed out now how Terrible they are because they are not stat padding anymore. They are not winners, and have never won anything of substance in their career because you cannot statpad your way to a trophy.
