By October, Erik was under pressure because our forwards couldn't score goals. Thereafter, he dropped Amad to play Rashford and Garnacho (Goal Scoring Wingers) to save his job, but it didn't work. And he was fired. Amad has kicked on and done well since his dismissal. But, to say Ten Hag necessarily preferred Antony over Diallo (after Antony's poor last season) is just a blatant lie.

I'll be honest mate, the run of managers we had and the pressure to win now stunted the development of rashford, martial, pellistri, shaw to some extent, almost as well with Ugarte, Sancho, Pereira, etc. LVG wanted to properly build through youth and really started to build something, but his vision simply wasn't appreciated because it was going to involve some inconsistent results. Now we are years down the road and in the same boat. LVG truly had an eye for the future.
I agree Pellistri was very hardworking like Diallo, if we had kept Mctominay and played Diallo and Pellistri as wingbacks with Rubens system United would be playing way better.
