Former ANC president Thabo Mbeki has finally revealed why he never bothered to campaign for the ANC in the years that Jacob Zuma led the party. He was speaking during the ANC's provincial executive committee meeting in the Eastern Cape, Mbeki says he couldn't go around saying to people, 'We have a good story to tell', when he didn't believe it.

I feel like the surname of the former president is mispronounced, the guys from Dutywa I have been in school with who share the same surname bengo Dlamini phofu would say M-beki not M-bheki as what is usually said.
Anyway anc is a lost cause, I still can't get this- they paid de Kok R40 000 a month as a salary and a total maintenance of about R200 000 a month?
Meanwhile an unemployed black citizen was paid R350 for six months or so?

Mbeki was very bitter after he didn't finish his term and Zuma's early exit comforted him and more importantly, he will be most comfortable when also Ramaphosa leaves early as he will for sure.
