Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights, a General Signals Type-2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights, an almost-dead WCH Mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
This was the last train that I caught on the trip, and while it wasn't too interesting with all GEVO power, it was rather cool as it was a "Monster" coal train!
This crossing has the last mechanical bell in Gretna, and as you can see, it's on its way out... - Наука та технологія
My fiancé home town! This is the same train that passed my Aunt Minnies house in Suffolk VA for my entire 55 year old life💕
Nice video! That wch mechanical bell has a similar gong to what Vermont Ave as well as what Harvard Ave had back in 2015-2018. Shame this bell has since been replaced by an NEG E bell.
Thanks!
GS Type 2 Electronic Bell And About DEAD WC Hayes Mechanical Bell
Nice! The WCH mechanical bell here is 1st generation. I have never heard a dead or sick bell in real life. Although I live by the NS Cleveland district a crossing in Lakewood had a Safetran Type 3 E-Bell replaced a Safetran mechanical bell. And a crossing in Rocky River had a General Signals E-Bell replaced a WCH mechanical bell. In Lakewood there are 3 WCH mechanical bells. 1 1st generation and 2 2nd generations. And the Crossing with the 1st generation bell has WABCO gate mechanisms. In Bay village there is a crossing with a WRRS mechanical bell and a US&S teardrop bell. These crossings go to Miller Road (Avon Lake) To W 110th St (Cleveland). This is on the NS Cleveland District in Ohio . And by the way i'm hcampbell5013 too.
Nice! I wish the Meadowview Bell would at least ring like this instead of it just straight up dying.
Thanks!
Just to be clear the bell is not dying the magnet power just needs to be turned up
It would sure suck getting stopped at this crossing. Might as well take a nap in your car
Whaaaaaaaat That WCH Bell Sounds Like a Teardrop Bell! ●•●
Not really.
I can actually see where he's coming from, it does have that pitch to it.
Yoshi the Railfanner True, but it sounds a bit more like a WRRS to me than a Teardrop.
@@freebrickproductions I agree
Probably used to be double first GEN WCH bells
No, I suspect it was either double RACO/1st Gen Safetrans or double WRRS bells.
@@freebrickproductions ok thanks
Is this crossing still the same
Dying WCH was replaced with an NEG, but is otherwise the same.
sounds like the hammer is broken
That mechanical bell sounds like it is DYING! Did you report that the bell is dying? If not, it probably is a good idea to let CSX know about the dying bell.
No, and given how it's been a few years, I wouldn't be surprised to find out it's already been replaced.
it has a different gong
No, the bell is just in need of some TLC.
