- In this video I run through everything you need to know about fishing jigs in a small creek. This is everything I've learned so far when it comes fishing a pitching or flipping jig a in skinny water. How to do it, what to do it with and what trailer works best for me when fishing this style of bait in these waters. The external factors surrounding this session make for an exciting fishing experience no matter what baits you're fishing.

I find using the 2.5 inch baitjunkie motor oil with a jig spinner is the best for bass.
Yeah a beetle spin rigged plastic is a super effective bait in open water. They’re not very efficient coming through structure which is where a bait like a jig comes into its own mate.

Great video on the jig's , have you ever used them on flathead, I just got a few molix nano jig,s in 1/4 Oz and thinking of using the Zman TRD crawz , or possibly a 3 inch minnow, any thoughts on using them for flathead, great work champion,
They’d get eaten but they are built to fish heavy cover. If you have mad rocky terrain then it’s a bait that would suit that fishing application mate.

Yeah you’ll get more action out of just about every other trailer but nothing matches the flavour of a gulp, they just eat it.

I find a dead slow roll works wonders. Especially if it's cold. You want to feel every inch of the bottom.
The bass get competitive and take turns in picking it up off the bottom.

I bought some hula chats after watching these videos. Slaying machines. I bought some motion jigs too but found they work better in deeper water and it’s pretty shallow near me.
That’s the most important part mate, knowing when and where to use each bait.
Grouse session mate - I reckon it's a toss up between jig and surface - it is an awesome big-fish bite. My best is 45.5 in Vic - still looking to improve!

I'm a salt convert just getting into bass now I'm living up the sunny coast . Please give a little break for my ignorance but what's the difference between a jig and chatterbait
Flipping or pitching jig is a skirted jig head basically with a weed guard to come through heavy cover. A chatterbait is a bladed jig, the same jig with a blade attached.

3” Black but it’s long gone now. 2.5” in watermelon or Pulse Craw but I dye them to get black.

I signed up for music from a company then left and they file a complaint and UA-cam stops your video from earning revenue so it get demonetised. People keep watching it but the coin goes to the other company so I fixed the problem. Turn the sound down over their music and add new tunes.

@@LiamFitzpatrick Its such a horrible situation. We had a winter flood here in the Shoalhaven and it changed everything. You must be gutted. I feel numb, stay safe and I hope it recovers better than ever.
I feel sorry for all the fingerlings we just stocked.
@@LiamFitzpatrick Yeah. The bloody weather its so devastating. I helped stock a local dam, it flooded in August and downstream it flows into the Shoalhaven River. I reckon a lot will survive and end up in all sorts of places. This season after the flood has been incredible with lots of healthy young Bass. They are hardy fish. Chin up I love what you and your mates do you have challenged me to elevate my Bass fishing. Keep posting because it keeps us all going.
