I don't pour my own jigs, but I did order a bunch of skirtless jigs with some silicone and old school flat rubber from lurepartsonline and hand-tied my own jigs with thread over the winter. I haven't gotten a chance to use any of them yet, our season doesnt open until May up here in Canada, but I'm excited. I also made some chatterbaits and hand-tied those with a mix of silicone and old school flat rubber too. I found it a great way to keep my fishing hobby going, even if I couldnt get out and actually fish.
I polish probably 6000+ lead 1x1x.032 specimens a year at my job. ive never been more paranoid about lead in my life than when I'm watching debos jig making videos. maybe I been f'in up bad xD. great videos as always debo!
Great job Debo. I just bought a variety of jig heads and skirts at my local BPS to play with on my own. Then BAM, You go a throw a make your own jig with a mold vid at me. I can see a whole new world of opportunity there. 👍🏻
I know I do not speak for everyone but I love seeing a DIY for everything. Making Jigs always interested me. This just solidifies it. Instead of buying 2 and 3 jigs at the store for $15 you can make them for $0.75 ish depending on how intricate you want to get. all I can say is that this is going on my Christmas List this year.
i do hand tied and premade skirts.... good vibrant purple skirts were hard to find back when i bought my materials, so i made my own. i also enjoy fly tying so i have a bunch of different materials for jigs.
Could you do a video on how to fish jigs and finesse jigs. I've been fishing for almost a year now and understand some lures but dont understand jigs. Thanks for the awesome content, you've taught me a bunch man, much love. 👏👏
This video is awesome. It def makes me want to support small businesses. I would love to have some of those. I use them all the time. Your jigs look awesome as well!!
Great video. I have been looking for more info on this and you helped me out a lot. Was hopefully going to be fishing but Iowa through another curve ball with this snow again. Lol
These DIY videos are awesome! Making those jigs looks like a ton of fun! Thanks for stepping thru the whole process! Send some of those jigs down here to Texas!!
I've been tying my own jigs since around 1994. I learned from an older guy in his 60's. He always told me to use wire and never use the cheap collars. I use Living Rubber as a base and Easy Kasting silicone tabs. You throw in places that you usually don't because you save money making your own. Great video!
Great video! After watching you and Dizzle last year, I decided I needed to up my jig game. I lose a ton so I started buying premade jig heads and skirts to try and offset the cost/ losses and make something myself. Hand tying is next! Wouldn't mind trying a few of you patterns myself, but would love to see you make some punch weights and do something this year on punching thick stuff - something that intimidates most bank fisherman.
Hey debo love ur channel cause my 11 yr old and I are new bass angler's and I think u do great at explaining tips techniques how to and all. Great detail and good luck this year. The jigs look great.
Great video. I loved to try some of those awesome swim jig colors. The orange and red look fire. I just started fishing last year and my go to is the Texas rig, but would love to try swim jigging.
@DEBO'S Fishing Keep up the awesome work on the jigs, we love to see the process!! I got into the finesse side of fishing just last year and I got the bug for it, just have to wait for the ice to break. Those rootbeer jigs looked so good and would slay in the dirty lakes up here, wouldn't mind catching a Debo Dink on a Debo Jig!!
Great video Debo!! I’ve never seen the effort that goes into jig making and to be honest seeing it all really makes me want to try and do it as a challenge to myself. Love variety of fishing content. Keep up the great work!!
My pal and subscribed feeshin friend (Shawn Beck) could certainly use some of those jigs. He keeps saying he’s going to try throwing a jig but ultimately goes to his comfort zone of crank and spinner baits. I think it has alot to do with the fact that he’s most certainly going to lose a few here and there. I was surprised by the root beer color. It wasn’t at all what I was expecting but turned out to be my favorite.
You should make chatterbaits with some of the poison jig heads. There are some videos on UA-cam abt it. All you need is a shakee blade and some wire things for making underspins
I use copper wire from an old electric wire for for the eye hole on the hook. Find some old mylar balloons and cut strands off it to throw some flair into the skirt
Total respect to those folks that create and sell hand-tied jigs...lots of time goes into each, and it's an art. I enjoy buying mine from some smaller businesses, might be a bit more expensive but totally worth it. Can't wait to buy some Debo Jigs!
*Great item. First cast out of the package caught a nice bass. Pulls smooth in the water and sets up nicely immediately upon retrieval. Worth adding to your tackle box.*
That black and purple and orange and red look awesome. I bet the feesh will eat those up! The green pumpkin with pearlescent blue looked SUPER cool as well. You definitely have a real talent, from painting crank baits to making finesse jigs. Great stuff bud👍🏼👍🏼

Those jigs look professional. I have just purchased a few swim jigs, and finesse jigs from the 6th sense. Those would help me a lot.

Just starting to get into it, and it is a lotta fun. I bought some jig heads but getting the pot and molds is my next step. Thanks for the tips!

Your going to crush them on those. Love the matte finish ones.
Just got into finesse jigs last year. Love those! 5/16 ball heads are awesome!! Your the man Debo 👊
They look great mate and I also like the way you explain the process just we don't have Finesse Jigs here in Australia
your videos are so inspiring like this one to make my own baits and go fishing more often than sit inside in front of the tv. So thank you!
Total respect to those folks that create and sell hand-tied jigs...lots of time goes into each, and it's an art. I enjoy buying mine from some smaller businesses, might be a bit more expensive but totally worth it. Can't wait to buy some Debo Jigs!
It's a TON of work, not sure who folks do it...
That’s Awesome! Didn’t know this was even an option for the average guy. Love jig fishing as a new bass guy
Awesome jigs. One thing I have to throw more of.
I love videos like this bro! Thank you!!
Love jigs. I’m sure making your own the way you want will save some money too.
Nicely done
*Great item. First cast out of the package caught a nice bass. Pulls smooth in the water and sets up nicely immediately upon retrieval. Worth adding to your tackle box.*

Great video man!!!!!!!
They look great just starting with jigs
Would be nice to have a Debo/dizzle hand made jigs. You look very professional with the new look
If you bent that wire back up at the tip . It makes a extra bait keeper.
You cleaned up good Brother on the haircut and beard trim. 👍🏻
