What type of bacteria was it? Tank water is in stratified layers with the low density water at the top and the higher density water at the bottom. To get accurate samples of the water drawn from the tank, you need to take samples from the water around the tank's outlet valve. To properly do this, you need to either lower a sealed container then open and close the lid at the correct depth or else be able to take a sample from the external pipe that supplies the pump.
Dude! Your looking at me! ; ). So many of your early videos were like a video calls with my girlfriend with you looking at the display instead of the lens... I love watching your channel and skills evolve, be sure to tell the camera person they did awesome work as well!
Hey bro I got a suggestion for you I know you're off grid but you can either get something off of solar or just battery on a Time cycle that agitates the water either by propulsion or aeration like a fish tank just keep the water moving
I just get mine through Amazon. I tried Waterworks once and they didn't have any. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0837Z5PBJ/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=homesteadi0cb-20&linkId=9b3019a8c2ceac7bc1b8c963d9226598&language=en_US

Thanks for that tip. Makes sense
Good information. I am on a well here in AZ. I will look for those kits. We have to pay $70 to have the lab test our water.
You might have to test for more stuff with well water. Idk. But the kits can give you a good baseline if you need to send it off for further testing.

It took me a while to figure out where to look. Thanks for bearing with me 😆
Camera person was my 10 year old daughter. She's evolving as well

I can, but no one does that out here. Id be curious how it improves water quality. Maybe less mosquito larva
Thank you for sharing your thoughts u are a natural scientist
Very cool, it's so bright there how do you keep the light out of your tank?
You can check out my how to clean a water tank video but it has a cover. That keeps the algae out
Where do you get your test kit from? Mahalo

What about pfas they say it’s in rain water idk I don’t think we’re safe in the world anymore
May as well start building your tolerance to chemicals because that’s the world we live in
PFAS?
Nothing you can do about those really
Great info and video! Mahalo so much. Where did you get the kit please? Much Aloha from Maui 🤙🌈🌺🌊🏄♀️
Thanks for watching! I normally just get this one thru amazon.

@@HomesteadinHawaii awesome! 👍❤️🙏
soo what kind of water are you gonna use to clean the roof...lol... and... how many times you gonna clean it... lol...
I use a pressure washer with water from my water tank with the gutters disconnected so the dirty water doesn't go right back in the tank

I mean you did have tad poles swimming in that water 😂
Kind of a sign right? 🤣
how are your readings now days? ever see random high metal content?
I keep my tank pretty clean. I never get high metal contents but once in a while bacteria. A monthly checkup keeps things pretty even though
@@HomesteadinHawaii awesome that's great! love your vids
Rain water is poison water.
That’s what they claim? Except isn’t all water rainwater in one way or the other?
@@HomesteadinHawaii it used to be natural but with all those chemtrails they be spraying the sky with it's the opposite.
