I don’t switch switch my EDC knifes very often unless I’m dressed up or want to carry something impressive that day to show off. But main 3 EDC Spyderco Paramilitary 3 (no surprise there), but I’m also in love with my Piranha X Automatic and Protech TR-5 Tactical Response. Two of the best actions on the, look and preform excellent and for the money can’t beat them in my humble opinion.
carried a bench made griptilian for 4 years. once bench made ended up being a bunch of turncoats i switched to the spyderco pm2. the thin tip gives me a little bit of anxiety from time to time but, I've been carrying that for a year now.
I carried my crkt M16 big dog for about 6 years and it still holding up fine . I'm using the 665 Benchmade that my wife got me to my bday and that's good knife
I did this two weeks ago. I got rid of everything. The clutter of it was driving me crazy. I ended up with a EAB Lite in my tool box, a ranger green Bugout for work and a blue Bugout of play. I haven’t looked back. No more decisions!
Crazy! Stumbled upon your channel for the Raptor 2.1 review. Decided this guy is alright lets check out his other videos. I see a very recognizable photo on the thumb nail for this video so I decided to watch. BOOM! Video is with Peter McKinnon my favorite UA-camr and channel for the past year which is why I recognized the thumb nail. Subscribed.
I carry 4 knives every day, a case mini trapper for utility, a tdi law enforcement for a quick grab get off me defense, a manticore x OTF as a second defense knife, and a gerber money clip with knife for cutting cardboard.
I enjoy carrying the same knife because they tend to be a lot more capable than what you would expect. My EDC changes between 3 depending on my needs and dress... a ZT 0566 is most common, about 8 months straight. Before that, I had a SOG Flash II. Loved it, but sold it. And a Buck 112GR because its a nice looking old school folder. With the occassional addition of an ESEE Izula because why not. Carrying the same knife was just comforting that I know the limits of what I have on me and I was comfortable with it whether it be batoning, cutting rope, boxes, whatever
My carry is literally the exact same thing as Pete’s except I also have sunglasses and I have AirPods on my belt loop or backpack. But yeah phone in back right, house and office keys in back left, knife in front right, wallet in front left, and car fob in coin pocket.
Nice change of pace. Didn’t know they had coffee bars. I have a new date night idea for the wife. I been rocking the same carry knife for a year and a half. Nothing fancy just a $20 spiderco, but I’ve been looking for my next edc knife. I mainly use it to open boxes at work and cut up lunch when necessary. Been on the look out for a good $100 range knife. Keep up the good work!
I’ve been carrying my spyderco manix 2 for going on three years now. I’ve loved every minute with it but I’d like to retire it for a bit either for a new spyderco or a benchmade “blackout” any suggestions??? I like how big the manix 2 is I’m a fan of big knives since I do food prep often. I also like to do wood carvings so it needs a good tip for that.
Agreed, and so well said. I too miss the days when what I carried never changed and my jeans would have a outline of what I wore and where cause it never changed. And you grew such an attachment to the item you carried. Much simpler times. Lol and the search for the perfect EDC is only fun until you find what you thought was “it”. Only to be wanting the next “it”.
I lost a good spyderco so I got a ganzo f21 or something and love it...as nice as a sp stretch no..but 30 bucks for d2 g10 skeleton liners good geo not bad.. yes please
I've slimmed down the collection from 50 to 10 in the 2 last years for that exact reason. Couldn't go under 10 too hard to choose the ones to keep. I was happy with my choice for almost 6 months then i found it boring... and i bought and trade some knives since then and i'm back at 20 again... if i had to choose to keep only 5, i think it would be: -CRK Large Sebenza Ebony -CRK Large Inkosi Black micarta -Quietcarry Waypoint -Spyderco Pm2 -Boker Urban Trapper Premium ....and maybe 5 more! 😂
Okay thanks sold on that i1r I just bought one, I needed a key chain light for extra minimal carry I still will have my m2r always on me but in a bag [some times] so this light is super sweet to gain back some pocket real estate which is always on me lol so I guess not to minimal but it's my favorite bag, not that anyone asked but check out the vanilson performance bag if you're in the market it's a fabulous minimal bag across the body carry.. anymore minimal pocket carry lol
I’m a huge knife guy. I just like something that is comfortable to carry and keeps an edge. I own crazy expensive knives and I carry an ESEE avispa D2.
I’ve carried my ZT 0566 without the spring for years. It’s the best knife I’ve ever carried. The blade will be center if you totally disassemble it and put it back together. ZT 0566 is basically as tough as you can get. Good luck with your choice.
My EDC knife nowadays is pretty much just my multitool. Through the adventures on my channel, I'm learning the benefits of paring down my gear to more manageable levels
I was completely mind fucked. Thought I clicked a Peter McKinnon video then saw Talon. Thought I just clicked another video and then Pete pops up and I’m like wait wtf? Great video guys! Cant wait to see another collab with you two!
If the Bugout had a long wire clip like the Para 3 Lightweight it would literally be the perfect knife, but as it stands, the latter is my main knife for 2023.
Haha so do I get to go into a hall of fame or something because I've been EDC the Recon 1 for like 6+ years. I lost my first one but currently rockin the new version. Imo it's the Abrams of folders.
Handled a bug out at REI. The thing is just too flimsy for me. It reminds me of a similar knife that Benchmade hat out that had a dagger like blade. There is flex in the handle scales when you pinch the knife. Just can't do it as an EDC.
Omg the new superfreek! I have number 11 of the first run. The thing is an absolute hammer. I put a death head deep carry clip on it from mxg. I carry only 5 knives now, sf, 940-1501, para 3 52100 and manix in 52100. Bugout for exercise in light shorts.
Warmachine_13. Folks rag on the 940, “not the perfect slicer...” show me another knife in that light of form factor that you can use as a screwdriver, mini prybar, accurate hose cutter, and still is a gents knife.
For hose cutting, lay it on its spine, lift up the blade, lay hose across handle opening, then press blade down onto hose. If 940 is sharp, makes a perfect, non raggedy cut every time.
Talon, Peter and EDC what's not to like. I know it's not high end but if I had to pick one EDC knife for a year or more it would be what I have in my pocket right now. The Spyderco Delica! 🐼🐼🐼
Ok, I get the 1 knife idea. The question is do you know how to put a razor sharp edge back on the blade? Do you own a strop? Are you willing to actually use a "custom" tricked out knife to do the EDC tasks? When the day is going to be in the garage doing work I carry a Milwaukee Fastback utility knife. It keeps me from putting the beating on my good blades. GREAT Video! Thank you : )
Check out the last video with Pete ripping skis and drinking WAY too much coffee 😬ua-cam.com/video/Pf9yFqlPLH0/v-deo.html
so what did he go with? the black bugout for sure??
What if the edc lasts a year?
Like this guys style. I’m about dedicated carry, my Benchmade 940 has been faithful for 7 years.
I just got the 940-2 i thats a great ligth knife 👌
good one to stick with!
@@brandonzertuche538 .I have 940-2 and a bugout and I carry my bugout more bro it's a great knife so light I forget about it in my pocket
Rocking the pm2 for exactly a year now.... it never disappointed, it never failed, never wanted something else
Nice collaboration...I watch a lot of PM and all of your vids...great to see you two together!!!
I literally just spent the last 5 minutes trying to figure out why that guy looked so much like that Peter McKinnon guy...

This is the collab I’ve been waiting for. So stoked.

Well, that's a collaboration I didn't see coming. :D
That's what she said......lol
Idk why but I feel like you guys are related. Such a family vibe. Love winter, knives, and family. Keep the videos coming

Great video. The Bugout is an awesome blade for a one option EDC knife. I found it to be an excellent Backpacking knife too.
My carry is literally the exact same thing as Pete’s except I also have sunglasses and I have AirPods on my belt loop or backpack. But yeah phone in back right, house and office keys in back left, knife in front right, wallet in front left, and car fob in coin pocket.

By the way, your background tunes are so slick and groovy. Dig your choice of music.

is there an update to this video?
"You gotta break the system somehow" PM. Loved this guy in Ellusionist. Love him here

You go to French Creek State Park or?

Im so interested in the black bugout I've owned BM 940-1 for 2 years and it's been perfect but I might have to give it a try !
They're both in my top 3. I put on a set of Flytanium carbon fiber scales on my Bugout. It's fantastic.
CRKT mini my tighe for 7ish years. Thinking about a para2, good customizing options to make it a one of a kind.
anyone knows where you can find a wallet like the one peter has @10: 03? thanks
Also curious on the wallet. Thanks!
Follow both of you. Great colab. Keep up the good work.
Novice photographer that shoots n carries stuff.
I could use the Kershaw 2420 tanto for the rest of my days... but I recently lost mine and they are waaaaay out of production. 😭😢
If you need someone to talk to... I am here for you buddy...I know where your coming from... i also lost a loved one once. (benchmade940)
Peter Money thanks bro... most people just don’t understand.
Should of stopped by Maine on your way home we could of gone wakeboarding
Hey Talon Sei, my EDC is a Benchmade 273 Mini Adamas (black). My question is what model of Mercedes were you driving in this vid?
My 4x4 Sprinter
@@TalonSei Sweet Ride!

Any info on the person who’s working on Pete’s Sebenza? I would like mine to be worked on as well 🤷🏽♂️

You guys are at pilot coffee. I live right around there. Please tell me your still in Toronto
Did Pete stick with the BugOut???
So what knife did he end up picking?
I had the green bugout and lost it. Now carrying the Spyderco para 3. Love them both, but the para 3 is better imho.
I went through the $6-800 knives and I felt the same way. I kept one and sold the rest for gun parts.
Where can I get that knife ?
Koo ass video bro! Love the hip hop beatz!
Good vid Talon! Keep it up, brother!
You think the whole soda in coffee thing is weird? Wawa is adding lemonade to cold brew. The Canadian way sounds interesting.
I have been watching peter for a while now then I started watching you and now your together 😍
I’m tagging along - carrying the CRKT Provoke for one year
Are we getting a bug out review?
Love your vids I've been watch since like 2014 I love your vids bro
How many more subs have you gained now that you feature Peter? It has to be a big boost!
Thanks, man.
Talon, what the heck was in the package Peter gave you?... The suspense is killing me haha.
Who did Pete send the sebenza to get modded?
I’m doing the Same thing. 940 green and purple
I am watching this video in the very same day my blackout Bugout is to be delivered to my house! :D
What the Hell....I'm in. Murdered out Spyderco Tenacious for a year.
Hey what's the name of the key holder?
Mini grip with a spydy hole or a pm3
What phone and case does Pete rock?
Tim Horton’s! How I miss you sooooo much! Please bring one to Middletown PA!

What city?!
PETER MCKINNON!
I like CRKT I like a lot of other ones too but for now this is what I’m carrying
I've been carrying the same knife for 8 years now, the Kershaw Leek. Maybe the Bugout will be next.
