Oblique ran 9.88 an came 4th its not that he wasnt good enough. Maybe others ran a better race on the day. Years ago if you ran 9.88 you were sure if a gold medal. He is talented he just have to execute better next time

Oblique needs to stop focusing on Lyles, Coleman, Jacobs & Kerley. Focus only on Yohan Blake and Bolt. Look at Bolt’s career plan, Watch their tapes over and over, look at how hard they trained and did strength training. Observe how disciplined they had to be, no party, no women to drain the energy. Let the training results be the boost to your confidence. Bolt and Yohan confidence came from running seeing the results in training with Bolt, so all that was left is to execute. If the Coach says you got the right stuff believe him He is cut from championship material with one of the most experienced, accomplished, common sense and nonsensical Coaching career ever to coach the sport. Asafa choke because he was focused on the runners in the Block and not what he had accomplished over the years, he psyched himself out and failed to find the motivation needed to run with power. Once you know you can perform the drills Yohan performed and see the speed in training, let that be your measuring stick and leave these guys in your dust. Know that your training program is superior, it’s proven to be the best, not because of Bolt, he was a freaking phenomenon, but because a Kid by the name of Yohan Blake gave a Phenom like Bolt the scare of his life, beat him in training, in trials and ran toe to toe with him on that Trifecta 200M. If Yohan came off that curb dead even with Bolt, that finish would be one for the ages. Even Glen Mills was shook and stopped Blake from going heads up with his Champion in practice, because the great coach knew it could damage Bolt’s edge, his confidence and when it was all said and done, no one else in the world could beat Yohan, only Bolt. Dude you can do this it’s called motivation and adrenaline. The same thing that’s giving Lyles the performance edge and the same reason why Elaine Thompson was upset with her old coach, he paired her with Jackson and motivated her into beating her and now her sprint psychology is damaged, add a little muscle strain to that equation and you have Elaine’s lackluster performance last season. Get your sprint IQ up Seville, Training takes effort, but come game day, execution is pressure free and effortless, just react to the gun, go through the drive phase and get upright with the top end speed and let your strength training results do the talking.
