I love their music because it's so unusual. First heard it in 1994 and have been in love with it ever since. Favorite album: Four Calendar Cafe

It is now. I had a better quality one on my channel but it was blocked worldwide by the copyright owner after only a few weeks. Which I guess proves it was too good. I'm surprised they haven't taken this one down yet.

Me too. In a hard plastic sleeve, which I bought separately as I did with all their 12"s, they look so much better as a collection when you put them in those stiff plastic sleeves.

My favorite band. I would gladly pay for a dvd/blu ray compilation of all their music videos. Don't know if it could happen due to them changing labels :(

Cocteau Twins have not made a duff track. They have morphed and contorted as a band and sometimes you could feel the strain of what they were going through. But the music quality has always been head and shoulders above most mediocre bands.

Bang on, being a devotee since seeing them in 1982 in Sheffield I was hooked entirely. Not a bad song despite the criticism over Elizabeth's vocals or delivery the sound is utterly unique - the progenitors of shoegaze/dream-pop, so ethereal and exotic compaired with the charts banal offerings.
A relationship break down in any band usually sounds the death knell but somehow they managed to keep things going until it was decided for an amicable 'hiatus' but even then I think there was so much work to be done and penned songs to be put to the mixing desk. I'm hoping you're a fan of This Mortal Coil or Dead Can Dance - or anything on the 4AD record label? It's all good!

@@kramsniggah4333 Hi Kram. 4AD is a massive label, but I must admit the earlier stuff is what I adore. Cocteau Twins, His Name is Alive, DCD, This Mortal Coil, Bauhaus, Throwing Muses, Pixies, Breeders, Amps, Belly, Lush etc. When Simon and Robin created Bella Union Records they signed one of the most magical bands ever.... Lift to Experience - A Texas Christian Rock band (huh?) Yeah, I know but the sound these three young men made was astonishing. They made one fabulous double album then faded. Try this for size, you might like it. ua-cam.com/video/iF96B27HYik/v-deo.html

ah come on, there's a few dodgj tracks here and there but not many. It depends also on the era you prefer. I can take or leave a few Garlands tracks or bits of The Pink Opaque, technically early 12" b-sides. But I can't find one duff track on Bluebell Knoll, which a lot of people found inconsistent and sub-standard (and 'boring'). So my preferred Cocteau phase is mid/late, not the post-punk early stuff. I love it all but I'd find more filler in that early stuff.
