    Thanks for watching!

I typically play $5/$5 Pot Limit Omaha poker at Lake Elsinore Casino in California but will soon be traveling to play poker at other poker casino rooms in the US.

that ak76 hand on the turn is a spot where reviewing urself will pay off and memorization... i say this as, u will need to decipher when to take that free card vs bully protect like a NLH hand because u have specific reads on the players during the session.

slow playing plo is a nice niche to have becuz almost everyone is a calling station so in a way, u end up pot controlling and minimizing ur bad beat loses... its not the greatest thing but its an outlook on the situation thats just genrally shitty

    • @DonkFishPoker

I agree, it’s nice to use in certain situations but could definitely backfire as well. I’d say generally it’s best to just fast play your hands because as you mentioned players don’t fold.

Could you go over like what your win rate is and what a decent PLO player can expect to make and maybe show some of the chart, so we can see how much variance there is? My one year anniversary on the vlog is coming up so I plan on going over my results around that time but I won’t leave you empty handed lol. Lifetime I win about 2/3 of my sessions. Standard win rates are between 5-15bb per hour and I fall within that range as well although I’ve slowly increased that over time. The variance will always be there but what I did when I was starting out in an effort to try to minimize it is play shorter sessions and buy in shorter as well. Hope that helps Colton. Thanks for the comment. Are you looking to start playing plo live?

@@DonkFishPoker awesome! I look forward to that video! That sounds like a good win rate. I have started playing PLO a little bit live at some home games. But have only played a few sessions. They don’t have actual PLO at casinos where I’m from. I’ve been watching training videos on CLP and that has helped a ton. I think your videos will help also. So they have spread limit Omaha but not pot limit and it doesn’t run often.

Well, you're blocking KK, and there's no flush draws, so he likely either has JJ, 66, a hand like 9 10 Q, or a bluff. I'd just call the flop and see what he does on the turn. Or, you can even put in a small raise on the flop, and if he continues, then you can slow down. But as played, you didn't have enough info to say, "Oh my AA are no good here because he lead into me. I should fold"

I totally disagree. I think you played that totally correct. Small blind calls out of position, probably mad that the straddle didn’t 3bet. Fires off $100 into a $125 pot. He was hoping for you two to come along or even raise. All those hands are crushing a dry over pair with a blocker. What are you hoping for? That turn was going to be expensive. I’m sure if you thought he was bluffing or that flop didn’t hit his range of play you would have snapped him off. Great job with picking your battles with AAxx.
