Here in the states, The Jam are very likely.....THE MOST UNDERRATED band of all time. Stunning.

+Anglovox Actually you've got to be already fairly well-known to be underrated. The problem with the Jam in the States was they were practically unknown. Certainly by the mainstream. I remember it all too well (it took me ages to find any of their albums in the record shops in my parts- 1980, to be precise, with their just-released fifth album, Sound Affects. I couldn't believe I finally had my hands on a Jam album and duly bought it, having been already hooked on them just by what I had seen and read about them in Creem magazine). Anyway, most people who have really heard the Jam rate them pretty highly, even the critics. Unfortunately, those people are in the few and always will be. We. however, are fortunately to be amongst them.

The Jam led the way im my home ,icaught them om TV
And they were more superb than a single. The Misfather led to me going to umpteen
    Concerts
Glasgow Apollo Glasgow city centre and onto Magnum in Irvine.
Then the Edinbuegh Haymarkwt Festival Groundt. My brother influenced me with [ The Who,The Kinks and The Yardbirds ] It s tarted off with Lou Reed's claassic Transformer he was ant icon and "Last Great American Poet
    [ his finale ]
Yet no one who has seen or heard tThe Jam then at the same time 1972 could compare to The bricks and mortar this was 19 72 The time for the massive icon who is still TheIconic Modfather and long may he continue, the LEGEND lives on with just one of the.Greatest tunes i've ever heard English Rose so intellectually way out there. He deserves a knighthood...1,2,3,let's go

The Jam's second album might have been their weakest, but "Life From a Window" is truly wonderful, as good as anything they ever did.

The dreary Gallagher levers himself onto the same talent shelf as the Jam. Ha! What a fucking joke! Why get him involved? Modern World is a lovely nuanced album, with more dynamic variation than the first album. And Foxton's 'News Of The World' is a masterpiece! He should have been encouraged and nurtured more! Well er had the power AND his dad was managing the band. Little wiggle room for Bruce. But one of the finest bass players ever - punchy as fuck! Melodic as anything

Good up Vinny. Some great live footage in there...can't find the full gig or clips on youtube. Good doc, spoiled by Jonathan Ross' inane voice over. Is part 2 available?
