- The Daily Distraction's Chris Killian got to sit down with The Batman director Matt Reeves, and while talking about updates for The Batman 2 and just when the next Robert Pattinson lead Batman movie could hit theaters, the director may have tipped his hand and just which unexpected Batman Villain could be making an appearance in the next DCU outing for the caped crusader!

The most ridiculous Batman villain I’d love to see Matt Reeves take seriously is Calendar Man. And I think he should be played by John Goodman
I mean with the amount of “The Long Halloween” influence that Matt Reeves’ universe seems to have, that’s not to big of a stretch at all. John Goodman would be great casting fr.
James Gunn put him in The Suicide Squad and he was pretty much a joke. I will admit he made me laugh but I still hope we can see a darker version on the big screen some day.

That's low as I will go for a main batman villain.
If Anthony Hopkins was younger I’d say him. In the animated show he closely resembles Dr Hannibal Lecter in terms of his personality and psychology. Not the cannibal part lol.
Mr Freeze, Clayface, Hush are my choices for the sequel.
Matt Reeves is just an absolute genius no other directors understands the character better than him. I just knew the Batman was going to be the best when it was announced he was directing,and the cast is literally perfection. Everyone was born for they're roles especially Robert Pattinson easily the best Bruce Wayne/Batman off all time. This is truly the comic book Batman adaptation I've been waiting so long for,cannot wait for more.
I would love so much if in a sequel Batman takes down Condiment King in the opening

Despite alot of comic purists didnt like the "realism" i enjoy films like that. Thats why i hope DC else worlds will focus more on character studies and realism elements more.

The villain is Mr freeze and it comes right after the flood. Gotham becomes basically an entire ice city
Then after, they realize the villains must be contained, the city is walled off then run by Dr Hugo strange, but have black gate run the city instead of Arkham
Everyone's been saying Clayface, Mr. Freeze, or Hush for the sequel (all good options!) but what about Poison Ivy? I think a depowered version of her, relying on chemical knowledge, poison, and pheromones could be really compelling. Plus, with Gotham's drug issues shown in the first movie, a mind-warping pheromone custom to Ivy would fit in pretty well, I think.
Nicolas Cage has said that he wants to play Egghead.

The Batman 2: City of Fear (2024)
Synopsis

I had an idea of scarecrow city of fear type thing, and hush could be the side villain and he could potentially hire Deathstroke to take out Batman and/or Bruce Wayne, also establish Harvey Dent as the new DA, but not at two-face yet, and further establish the Joker as a past foe of Batman the build up to the third movie when Dent, mad that Batman is making the cops jobs harder, decides to release Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Scarecrow, Deathstroke, and Hush and turning into Two-Face in order to take out the Batman
