Thanks! Was trying to change the lock cylinder in my 2003 CRV and had no idea how to remove it, but the CRV uses the exact same "hidden" clip shown in this video so now I know.
Great video. Would have never known about the "hidden clip". -Thanks!

The 10mm screw is blocked by that bracket, 4:22 bracket must come off first before you can remove the screw All this while working behind the outer panel with limited visibility.
I have an 03 pilot. This morning, you helped me take the door panel off so I can replace the actuator.
Thanks a bunch for the videos. I. Now need to replace the broken door lock cylinder.
Can I do that without pulling the entire handle out?
Thanks so much for the video. I just replaced the handle on my 05 Honda Pilot and this step by step video made it easy. Well, not as easy as you made it look, but not too bad. :)

Thanks 1A! Once again you guys saved my butt!!
The hardest part of this is taking the wire clip out at 4:10 I had to make a really short tool/hook out of a hanger and it worked perfectly (after about 10 tries and filing it down). Notice that he says you will need one smaller than the one pictured and he's correct. Good luck. Still a really good video. thanks
+Mr Luke Thanks for the feedback!
Love the videos. 2011Honda crz help please. I need to replace my driver side door handle. You cannot open the door from the outside but you can open from the inside handle. What part do i need?
Super easy. Thank you very much for posting this video.

Never mind I'm not doing this
Help!! I'm stuck for some reason I can't get to the first bolt on the key lock cylinder.
THANK YOU. From this video, I can tell that the previous owner of my 2004 CRV had someone work on the cylinder. I can tell because the screw you stop-motioned on is missing as is the retainer clip as well. If these two parts are missing from the cylinder assembly, would that prevent a properly working cylinder from turning? The issue I am having is that the master key goes into the cylinder, but will not turn it even a bit. The same key opens all other doors on the car. IF these missing parts would prevent the cylinder from working, can I get them from you? OR, if a new cylinder would come with those parts, can I order a new cylinder from you?
Great video, Im having a problem getting my 10mm socket on to the bolt head next to the lock cylinder. I did take the philips screw out. There seems to be a tab obstructing the path of my socket. It can be seen at 3:49. Any advice?
Me too did you figure it out?
Thanks!
Thank you so much, I'll definitely keep you in mind for parts! Excellent video! What kind of flashlight is that? Nice!
Need help with acuator screws they are so stuck!!any tips to get them loose???
Superb.
Thanks for this video. Do you guys have a video for replacing the lock actuator for the drivers door? I have a 2008 pilot with a bad lock actuator that I am hoping to tackle next weekend. Also, do you have a remedy for a seized up drivers door lock cylinder?
+ehammerman We do not have a video for this repair right now, but we'll keep this request in mind for a future video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
Thank you sir,
I was trying to open the CRV driver side and front left side handle , but i cant open. After i watching your video then i successfully open the both side handle.
+Itush Hajong Thank you for your feedback, we are happy we were able to help!
Good word thanks
my door lock rod feom 8;48 completely and cannot see where it goes . Help
This seems to be a good video reference for taking the door handle and lock cylinder out of a 2003-2007 Honda Accord. Unlike the 2000-20005 Honda Civic, you don't have to remove the sliding window glass but you sill have to remove the window rail or runner.

I successfully re-keyed the door lock on my 2005 Honda Accord using third party coded lock wafers that go inside the lock cylinder. I did not have to remove any fastener spring clip to remove the lock cylinder, just a couple of screws. My do-it yourself repair caused the lock actuator to fail. Now I will have to bring the Accord into the Honda Dealership. The Doors won't un-lock so, I find myself climbing in and out of the door window like Bo and Luke Duke getting in and out of the General Lee.
great video. I am only needing to change lock cylinder. can i do this without removing entire handle? any videos on that process?
+Gary Sbraccia Thank you for checking us out. The lock cylinder is bolted onto the handle, and sometimes may be disconnected from inside the door once the panel is removed. We do not have an exact video at this time. 1aauto.com
thanks for the info.
I wish they at least told us at what point the actual cylinder was removed.
Should there be a locking clip on the passenger side front door handle? My clip was missing. I am the original owner. What's up with that?
What do you do if the clip was installed upside down? (We have no ring to pull the clip out.)
You are screwed - sorry.
Hi, I was trying to replace door handle of 2006 Honda pilot, but I stalled when I couldn’t find the lock clip. Any idea how to proceed
+Fernando Remigio We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
THANKS
Thanks for watching. 1aauto.com
Is this the same door mechanism for the 2009 thru 2015 Pilots??
+John Martinez This procedure might be different for your application. We do not currently have a how-to video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking! 1AAuto.com
I purchased the door handle and what I thought were the necessary tools. My 10mm socket is too thick. I know I need a thin socket, but it's not clear how thin will be thin enough. Can anyone suggest a manufacturer that produces extra thin 10mm sockets for a 3/8 or 1/2 square? Also I need help with getting an extension that's long like the one in this video. Thank you in advance.
Thanks for not telling us how the door handle clip comes off now my door handle is broken
