Thank you. It is a fun bike to ride. Used ones with upgrades can be bought pretty cheap now that Harley discontinued that line, ( the 72 model ). Some seem to think they'll become collectors items but I doubt that. I'll probably keep mine, even if I get a bigger bike for longer trips, just to commute to work and ride it till it dies, ( then probably rebuild it lol ).

Beautiful sunny skies in your neck of the woods. My ride yesterday was in the 20's and snow. Nice big flakes. I was plenty warm and really enjoyed it. Stay safe.
She'll have to convince her Dad, ( my son ), to let her ride. Unfortunately he's never taken an interest in motorcycles or cars. I'm guessing that's my fault for scaring the crap out of him at an early age on both LOL. What I see as fun & exciting he sees as dangerous & scary, kind 0f like his Mom does. Oh well, we'll see what happens in about 10 years
It was very nice of the CHP to help you navigate your way thru the slow traffic, but when you said it was Sheetrock, and with all that white powder over the road way, maybe all the drivers were thinking it had snowed or somebody had hit Frosty the Snowman.... LOL Thanks for another Great Ride RR.
Yes it was thou I don't think he thought I was going to follow him LOL. Al the traffic backed up for practically nothing. I guess everyone wanted to see what it was. Thank you for watching & commenting
I'm not sure. I'd have to go back and watch the movie to see what is in it about Bakersfield. All I recall off hand is the old Motels on Union Ave that are still there but used mostly by prostitutes, transients & drug dealers. Nobody respectful stays at them unless they are from out of town and don't know any better
Hope it warms up here soon. Wanting to ride real bad. There are so many pot holes on our roads if you hit one of the big ones you will be tasting pavement for sure. At my age I probably would not get back up! Ride safe brother.
We've got lots of pot holes after the last rain, some big enough to swallow your front wheel. I hit one last week and threw my back out again. I hope it pops back into place soon. I gotta be really alert for those along with all the crazy drivers. It adds excitement to the ride but isn't very relaxing. I'm finding it harder to get out of bed in the mornings to go to work some days Getting old sucks! Thanks

Thanks she does run good. We're facing another week of freeze warnings & rain but they're only right 50% of the time. No progress on the Softail as yet probably not until Summer break
Liam & Max are like two brothers that are always teasing each other & Max puts up with it very well. Liam says he wants to be a " Meteor Patrol", hunting & destroying meteors out in space? IDK where he came up with that one lol The imagination of kids is inspiring at times. Kat says she wants to be a Balarena (sp?) princess lol

Hi I wish i could recommend, ( know ) a "good" mechanic. I've not used anyone lately for anything except mounting tires. My 1st 1 k service at HD on the 72 wasn't a good job nor when I took it in for the stage 1 flash. I wont recommend them to my worst enemy for any work. Other people love them? I've had tires done at 3 Dogs on North Chester. They seemed good & fair at that. My only concern is that they seem to be closed a lot of the time and backed up on work in the shop when I visit there for parts. I've also used a place on Chester across from the Blaze baseball field near the old Floyds Hardware store, I think it's called Adventure Sports? They sell KTM's but their mechanic is suppose to be a certified Harley Mechanic & I've seen several Harley owners there for repair work & service. I heard he's suppose to be good from several people. If I had to have something done I couldn't do myself I'd try him. If you buy the extended wire kit for the ape hangers it should just be a plug in thing I thought? Having to splice wire extensions & run wires internally in the bars is a pain in the butt especially your first time. Good luck! You shouldn't have trouble finding that place & they seem very nice
LOL not many chew out here in liberal ran Calif. They've passed so many laws & raised tobacco prices & taxes that people are switching to smoking pot now that it's legal to buy & cheaper but I look for rolled down windows mostly fast food wrappers get thrown out here. I've not had that happen in awhile
Man I thought the traffic here could be bad .. jeez. Really wish they would let us lane split here in ny .. Don't need to do it all the time, but during a select few moments .. it's needed
It seems to have gotten worse. On the city surface streets I wonder why all these people aren't at work? On the freeway it's a lot to do with the construction backing up semi truck traffic. Over the past 18 years our city has out grown itself with all the new homes being built & people moving in from all over. Atleast most got the message that lane splitting is legal in Calif It should be legal everywhere IMO

on the east coast trees are blooming and we been breaking record heat but march is a strange month.
