They should laminate the documents before he gets them. What a dolt! Even my toddler grandchildren aren't that badly behaved!
That might be a good solution, although I wouldn't be surprised if it was documents that needed signing that he was moronically ripping up after signing them.

It's very common in a senior generation to tear up papers after they've served their pupose. My grandfather who was a businessman used to do the same.
