    Oh... Zion park !! I just passed through this park... nearly 30 years ago when I was young..
    Anyway, traveling 4 western states was so wonderful ... I like the great awesome nature there... Thank you 👍👍👍

    I like the analogy "phone flying out of your hand windy" lol. It looks like a beautiful area. We have yet to do a Utah trip. But we plan to at some point.

      Haha it really was windy! We'd 100% recommend Utah, it has such beautiful and interesting terrain. Have you guys seen much of the west?

    That's absolutely the true hiking up the trail head, all the views there looks like where they having a documentary film, lovely hot weather, hope you have a lot of fun guys, thanks for sharing this beautiful hiking of you all .

    Great info to avoid the masses of people and the shuttle system. I'vee done the observation trail but not the East rim trail. You are right about the views. Fantastic. I'll do the East rim trail next time we go through. As we are local we get down that way a few times a year. Great video. Take care.

    We did Angels Landing in the morning and Observation Point in the afternoon. Very cool to look down on Angels Landing after being up there that morning. And the trail from the East Mesa Trailhead is beautiful and relaxing.

    Sweet... looks like the beginning of the trail head was by the camp ground we stayed at outside of the east entrance!

    Hi new friends! Just subbed 😉
    We love Zion... Southern Utah is gorgeous! My son lives near Salt Lake City. I was fascinated to listen to how you say Zion. It sounded like you said it one way at the beginning and then changed. I have always heard Utahns pronounce it with the accent on the first syllable, but people who visit from out of state usually put the accent on the second syllable. I’m a nerd 🤓

    The word is definitely out and like the other trails, will be overrun soon enough. You guys are lucky to hit it now. (And this is coming from someone who discovered Zion back in 1996, when you could randomly stop anyone anywhere and ask where Zion NP is and they would look at you like you had two heads.)

    In planning to visit soon, I learned the shuttles aren't running due to mud. I found this video, but google street view of these coordinates you gave shows signs that say no parking/vehicles will be towed. Plus, there are now large stones surrounding the lot area. The search continues! Thanks for the info!

    For anyone looking to get to this trailhead in 2024- You really do kinda need a 4WD/high clearance truck/suv to get to the trailhead. All of the dirt roads surrounding it are now plastered with no parking signs, boulders blocking would-be good parking spots, etc.
    If you're in a car i'd highly recommend just parking at the east rim trailhead and doing the extra miles hiking.

    • @SharingtheRoad
      @SharingtheRoad  2 роки тому

      Hi there! We were there end of April, and the weather was good (though we did see snow in Bryce Canyon at that time) so its smart to bring layers for a trip!
      I think this hike is doable for older kids (we saw some kids who assumed were 9-12 on the hike.
      For a shorter hike through the canyon, Zions Canyon Overlook trail could be perfect for them, (shorter, and still breathtaking views). We have a video walking through this trail as well if you are interested in parking, what to expect, etc.
