You're lucky if you find good players who all have stage presences of their own who don't just stand around on stage and bounce around from time to time. I would love to find some guys with the energy levels of these dudes
It’s been about 10 years since I watched this video on repeat (now 24) and till this day it trips me out how much I really haven’t changed in a sense. I’ll be back here in the next 10 years. This genre shall NOT die!
First watched this video in 9th grade (2009) and here I am, still loving Tdwp and this video today (2015)! God has blessed them and the band and i'm thankful they, as men, exist! May they continue to be men of God until they finally meet our Creator! thank you so my h Cindy😊😊😊😊😉
+mark olivares Their success was inevitable, not only because they are so talented. I've watched many really talented bands make a lovely blip on the radar and then disappear. TDWP maximized social media (MySpace) virtually around the clock. Little was known about how social media could work for a band so they just pounded it from every direction. They made it their their job to make themselves famous.
This song brings back so much memories in high school for me. I was the only Asian with a crowd of emos back in 2006-2010. Going back memory lane listening to DWP, Scary kids scaring kids, Alesana, blessthefall, chiodos, dayshell, of mice and man, bring me the horizon, confide, saosin, peirce the veil etc. etc..... sigh.. I miss those days. Now I'm 30 and have responsibilities now lol.
They cut James Baney, founding member, loose. Chris left and now the most phenomenal Daniel Williams has left with no ill will. They are not the tight knit group of friends they used to be and that is the saddest part for me as I've known them since they were young teens hanging out at the venue I booked. Fame creates ego. There is no good in ego.
Such a iconic time to be alive! TDWP and Underoath were the first bands to introduce me to this style of metal music!!! The amount of times i watched this video as a teenager to being brought back after seeing the intro in a fb short god i miss these days
Man, it sucks so much that I missed this era of the band. Didn't discover them until 2009 with Plagues and Roots Above, and didn't get to see them live until Warped Tour 2012. I constantly wish I'd been born just a couple years earlier (95 baby) so I could've been more into this scene while it was in this stage. Parking lot shows, par can lit stages in 200 cap venues, bands crashing at fans' houses because their tour bus was a 1989 12 passenger Dodge van... Anyway, this is a true gem of a recording. It's 2006 as all get out and an awesome snapshot of the early days of a real powerhouse of a band that's gone on to be absolutely huge. Thanks, Cindy.
You are so welcome! Your comment summarized a decade+ of my family's life. Bands on tour often stayed with us, "The Trippy Hippie Hotel," we called our home. One weekend, Stand Your Ground, a hardcore band from Tennessee, stayed over and ended up buying my 11 passenger van with a baggie full of merch money. Up until then, they were touring to a minivan, packed as tight as sardines in a can.
Thank you so very much! It would bless me so much if you would ask many of your friends to subscribe to my channel. I'm soon to be managing, booking and STILL videotaping some quality, hand-picked bands and I want them all to get the exposure they deserve
Had their demo tracks on my PSP. Always loved the demo and live versions. Hope all the members are all doing well. I walked away from Jesus unintentionally but somehow he’s returned and I’ve also tumbled upon this gem.
He never left you. @giggiesurge "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39 Thank you so much for stopping by. God bless you, Cindy
pbHepitonic :) As I said to Noel Urdelas I put up a fight with "The Music Publishing Rights Collecting Society" for close to two years over this video and nine others that I have written permission from the band to shoot from the stage and post on UA-cam. It's NOT coming down. God bless! Cindy
Cornerstone was epic in its extremes and that included the weather. On that day the temperature exceeded 104 degrees with humidity that was smothering, and dust from the dirt roads came with every breath. For a band to perform in those conditions requires incredible energy, stamina, drive, and ambition, all of which these guys had. Those watching were among the few who were not at their campsites for siesta.
god how i wish i was a 2000s teenager. i'm just now finding out about this band... you and everyone else in the comments are so lucky to have experienced this era of music

I’m gonna be seeing them on the 27th for the 5th time and I always come back to watch this vid before every single time. Just cuz I like to see how far Mike and Jeremy and the bassist have come (the other og members left) but I will forever love this damn band 😂
"I dont really want to say this but i have to we are the devil wears prada" WOOOOOOO RARARARA RARARAR RARARA WOOOOOOO RARARAR RARARAR WOOOOO god this videos amazing. Ive watched this atleast 20 times. I just love it
This brings tears to my eyes a little. I listened to Dead Throne earlier and to see this shows how far these guys have came, Mike with that fucking energy, man.....This is awesome. Love these guys.
Sophomore in highschool when this video came out. We watched in all the time in computer class lol. Then they came to too town a few months later. Good times
It's so amazing to go back and watch this video like I used to way back then when I discovered them, and see how far they've come. I saw them just recently on the Dead Throne tour, and I thought of this video. It's just so cool how they went from this video... to that crazy stage and still blow the minds of many. I'll always and forever love The Devil Wears Prada and they are seriously the biggest inspiration for me when I write metalcore music.
Being around for this band and seeing them live 3 times has been what I consider one of the greatest gifts music ever gave to me. This video is truly amazing, it is history. The brutality and desperation of mike hranica in this video is so inspiring. This is evidence that when people are skilled and try as hard as they can at something they can make it huge.
this is one of the coolest videos on youtube..prada at their rawest, back when i fell in love.. and i think the coolest part is they start with the breakdown from "hey john whats your name again?" a year before the song came out
This video is amazing. Remember watching it like 6 years ago after I had already been a fan for a few years, and this video confirming that I’d never turn my back on TDWP. All love here from Dallas, TX love these guys ❤️❤️❤️
+GrampaClan Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words. Please subscribe to my channel if you are interested in seeing video of the hard music bands that play at AudioFeed 2018. God bless! Cindy
This was uploaded when I was 12 years old. Crazy to think it would take 17 years to watch it. I've neglected TDWP and this reminds me of simpler times.
Their "first song" (intro) was the breakdown to Hey John What's Your Name Again before it was a full song. And then the first real song was Texas is South. And it's so awesome to see a band when they were still so small town and now look at them headlining Warped and touring with Slipknot and As I Lay Dying.
i agree completely. i love being able to see them in this setting. before they were huge. before i knew them. so young but as passionate than ever. i love their energy it makes me believe in the message even more.
TDWP is my favorite band and it's just amazing to see how much they have changed and It's even more amazing for me to see that there's no one song that I don't like of them, they are just amazing, i love this band.

I remember watching this video everyday for like two years wishing I was in this band.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
God bless!
Cindy
But would you feel that way now, say if a coworker found it? lol
Bro, me too. I used to practice drumming to all of their songs. Loved it. Can't wait to see them again in Portland. So nostalgic.
Dude same
You're lucky if you find good players who all have stage presences of their own who don't just stand around on stage and bounce around from time to time. I would love to find some guys with the energy levels of these dudes
This needs to be in a museum
Thank you for stopping by my channel and for your kind words. God bless you.
Cindy
2024 anyone?
Absolutely!
I revisit this vid every month or so for the last 10 years
Thank you for coming back so often!
God bless,
Cindy
Tighty Whitey do you know who mikes ex girlfriend was who he wrote all his songs about?
You have no life?
This video started it all. Please don't ever take this down.
Not a chance. I had to fight for two years to prove my copyright.
What up 2021! Keyboardist still cracks me up every time I watch this video!
“i don’t wanna say this but i gotta, we are the devil wears prada”
STILL ICONIC
Still MORONIC
My friends and I would watch this all the time as teenagers, now I show this to my son for educational purposes
That's the kind of education I like! My kids were with me at Cornerstone. They lived this.
Thanks for stopping by. God bless you.
~Cindy
"i dont wanna say this but i gotta. We are the devil wears prada" will forever be engraved into my brain
Tighty Whitey Bean and cheese enchilada, we are The Devil Wears Prada.
The most epic Metalcore band formed. End of discussion.
Chili cheese enchilada
Malcefium Mike i always see u in the comments of tdwp videos. you’re a true fan
2022 and this video still lives rent free in my head
That thought makes me smile. God bless!
Cindy
Okay but why is no one talking about the absolute UNIT that is the keyboard player. That man going HAM. That energy is a MUST
James is rather quiet and reserved off stage. He went berserk on stage though! Gotta get it out. Thank you for stopping by. God bless you. ~Cindy
It’s been about 10 years since I watched this video on repeat (now 24) and till this day it trips me out how much I really haven’t changed in a sense. I’ll be back here in the next 10 years. This genre shall NOT die!
So sorry for you dude.
Tony Juarez same bro
This genre is only going to stay alive through the people, DONT LET IT DIE
I will always comeback to this video
I'm glad you enjoy! Thank you so much for stopping by! God bless you.
~Cindy
I could hear that snare all day it sounds so perfect omg
For sure!
Thanks for stopping by. God bless you.
~Cindy
What I love about first albums. You can just hear and feel the hunger and passion in there sound!
Oh yeah. Success drowns that hunger and forces the passion but I don't know that it satisfies either.
Thanks for stopping by. God bless you.
~Cindy
Man oh man have they come a long way. This band has had some of the best progression I've ever seen. They've matured so much over the years.
Anyone lucky enough to be there witnessed the embryonic stages of, to my mind, the greatest metalcore band ever.
I'm very happy to have had the inside that allowed me this opportunity. Thanks for stopping by.
God bless,
Cindy
Front row bro

Ethan Strickland thanks for capitalizing the G, we Christians appreciate that!
Watching this video 10 years ago was the first time I'd ever heard of TDWP. Changed my life.
LikeMoths2Flame I remember watching 9 years ago and this never gets old . Crazy to see how far they have gotten
LikeMoths2Flame me too, a girl gave me 2 songs from her iPod nano to mine....still have feels...met her at hottopic where worked...

You arent alone brother. We all grown up now haha
around 06-08 literally every band in my hometown sounded like this including mine.
I cannot believe this video is still up!
I don't plan to remove it.
Thank you for stopping by! God bless you.
Cindy
This is honestly some of the most legendary footage captured in scene history
Thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoyed it. God bless you. ~Cindy
I watched this video every day of my life freshman year of high school. Amazing.
So thankful I got to grow up in this era
@Brett Thompson that makes me smile. God bless you.
~Cindy
This band will be a big band in the future
Fame Demise They blew up in 2006 up to 2011, with 2010 being their peak. They are dying fast and have been since 2012.
Lol
You're almost 10 yrs late
Man this makes my day seriously it just goes to show we all start from somewhere
They worked super hard for their success. It hurts badly to watch it all falling apart now. Thank you for your comment!
God bless you, Cindy
+CindyOsborne falling apart? how so?
What?
They cut James Baney, founding member, loose. Chris left and now the most phenomenal Daniel Williams has left with no ill will. This is one of the most hyped live performances I've seen right beside Drop Dead Gorgeous.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for stopping by.

+Samo Adams FTW
The contrast between how crazy the band goes compared to how bored the crowd looks is surreal

i listened/watched this video back when i was 13-14 yrs old, I am 26 now. the audio quality is definitely circa 2006 but still an iconic video.
Its ridiculous how far they have come.
Still the most beautiful live video
