Thanks for your advices,but I do put it in the micro wave but not blend it cause for their throat it becomes dangerous ,it dries their mouth I do leave it big peaces still they devour it .

Can you boil the egg shells for 10 minutes and then dry them outside or put them in the microwave to remove the bacteria before crushing them up?

I do that. I don’t crush them. My tiny bird (chestnut munia) is able to bite off a tiny piece, small enough for him to eat.
