Hi, i have a question. I didn't have a c clamp so I improvised but had to take the entire caliper off and take off the brake line. When I put the brake line back on, it started leaking when I stepped on the breaks. Did just not tighten it enough? It was about as tight as I could get it but it was still leaking? Thanks for the help
They probably do, yes. We don't have the torque spec offhand right now, but you could check online or in a repair manual for your make and model. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com?UA-cam&CTA%20Comment&ATony 866-403-3393
1A Auto Parts thanks for the reply. I think I found what I need for the caliper but I'm still not sure about the bracket. (BTW I think it's 31) The rear would be less pounds though right? since the brake pads are smaller?
+Frank Delaney Jr. You may be able to apply some of the basic steps shown in this video to your vehicle. Here's a link to the brake pad an rotor kits that we carry for you 99 Monte Carlo if you would like to see what we have to offer. Hope this helps you out goo.gl/68rwiS
Thanks for the video! When doing brake jobs I'll raise hood and temporarily remove cap on brake fluid reservoir. When using C-clamp years ago I popped cap off and fluid went everywhere.
+51397fireman This video will show you how to remove them from the bracket, then you would need to remove the brake line from the caliper and you should be able to replace it. Hope this helps you out. Thanks for watching. 1aauto.com

Do the calipers need to be tightened to any specific pounds like the front one do?
