Well that happened when I chose team werewolves and marina’s side lost and next splatfest, (sci-fi vs fantasy) I chose pearl’s side which was sci fi and we lost again
I was on Team Comedy and to be honest, I didn't even expect my team to win. This is because I kept losing every single match I participated in, with the exception of one. But I'm still glad my team won in the end.
I was on Team Comedy and I lost a bunch of battles. I was so upset I lost to a 4V3 match and a 3V4 match. I was happy I won my second Splatfest. (The first one was Sci-Fi VS Fantasy)
The only reason Ms. Joke won was because lame people thought "Lol, i'll pick this team because meme" That was stupid, and I couldn't count how many stupid memes were in my plaza. I'm not saying Marina shouldn't have one, it's good to have her win SOMETIMES, but it's the fact that it was only because of stupid, out of date, memes. I think 1:43 proves my point.
Action won popularity... It's just that we had more luck and (somewhat) skill on our side. (Somewhat skill simply because I had a few matches where my team just keeps walking of edges...). Maybe the memes had something to do with it, but I personally joined because I slightly prefer comedy over action (just slightly :b)
