Golfzon is has really nailed this and brought a great product to market. It is pretty much the commercial Golfzon experience, minus the hydraulic swing plate with both rough and sand areas. Impressive offering.
Parents bought three properties on Kiawah in 1977. Needless to say it was a much more humble place back then. ...Played every course on that Island and watched them all being built. The ocean course can humble a man. lol
I am looking to upgrade from my Garmin R10 and am researching different devices. One aspect of the Wave that I was doubtful about was shot shape accuracy. Being a single doppler radar device I asked the Golfzon people here in Japan if it needs metal dots or RCT balls to get the spin numbers. They told me it doesn't actually measure spin but calculates it from club data and initial ball flight direction so it's actually just an algorithm. That makes me very dubious about how accurate shot shape really is and the guy from Golfzon did say that feedback they have received indicates it's a bit more forgiving in regards to slices and hooks. Being Golfzon I am sure the simulator graphics and experience are top notch though. But for me the only reason to upgrade from my R10 is for more accurate shot shape so I can actually get feedback that helps me adjust my swing. I might go for the Skytrak+ and keep using GS Pro.
Well done, I am firing FlightScope and selling my Mevo+ to likely get this due to the horribly poor short game data / accuracy that the Mevo+ has. This seems far better and with the putting feature being actually useful sets this apart from nearly every simulator on the market regardless of price.
The golfzon course play software is so good. I normally play it in indoor golf clubs. I just played GSPro for the first time and just couldn’t help but hate the graphics and on course physics for the full hour. If you want to play a round there is nothing better.
Oh great, now my mind and direction went from wanting to upgrade to the SkyTrak +, to now this lol🤣 choices choices. I wonder if GSPro will ever be able to work on this launch monitor how SkyTrak and other monitors have it… also I have the space in my garage, I’ll just have to add padding for my wedges so I don’t put golf balls through my ceilings. Great content as usual!
How are the graphics when compared to GsPro? Im very impressed with the putting - would love to see Mevo+ with an add on putting accessory like that. Game changer.
seriously Gabe, review Swing Logic. Please. I have that system, its super cheap and does the job. The selling point for me is that it comes with attachments that you can add to real golf clubs and a swing stick and don't need a big area. I would even say that it gives the thousand dollar systems a run for their money for the price. But really do a review of it.
I think the Golfzon price should be compared to the GC3 as the GC3 costs more but without subscriptions. I have had a GC3 for about 9 months now and would have bought the Golfzon had it been on the market at the time. The actual golf information is wonderful on the GC3 (putting excepted) but I find the sim software really lacking. I must admit the reviews have never showed any of the shortcomings of the sim SW. All the exceptional data on the GC3 is great but my POV is that you need a coach to tell you what you should do about it. Great review.
It’s def improved a bit with the FSX Play, but yeah, the course packages are super expensive for GC3 and BLP. Have you tried running GSPro with it? I love that software and it’s affordable
@@LetsPlayThru Yes, the package I bought has nine courses that can be played on either Play or Pro (included). Four of the 9 courses are fictional, so that means you only get 5 to actually experience. The ones that we bogey golfers could play, virtually maybe - for real probably never, costs $500. Allow me to recommend another laser range finder to review, there's a real shortage on UA-cam and the Cube by CaddyTalk looks to good to be true, would love your take on it. Thanks.
Hey, always love the videos. My question is this, since you have tested them both. I wanted to know if you could only have one, basing this on indoor use for practice and play, would you get a bushnell launch pro/basic with gs pro, or the wave with subscription?
I play Golfzon in Korea a lot. Continue putting = the person putting keeps putting if they miss to save time Golfzon courses = Golfzon has been buying up real courses in Korea and changing the name to "Golfzon County "Place Name", so those are probably them. If you have "Golfzon County Suncheon", that is the course by my house. Also, usually the -% penalty is only incurred if you play from the fairway mat. If you play rough shots from the rough mat and sand shots from the sand mat, the penalty is not incurred.
Just a quick question maybe you can answer... running into alot of issues "canceled" ball - not reading no tripod legs installed, exact lengths from ball to monitor and ball to radar, updated firmware skills app, aligned on skills app, its about 60% ball detected and then 40% "canceled".. it is becoming very frustrating.. have you had any issues like this? still waiting on tech support to comment
It’s not going to be as detailed as those two. Of the ones you mentioned, Mevo+ is the king of ball flight and club data points when the pro package is installed.
Great video....do you think it will allow you to use other software? You should try testing the Wiz-I camera based ceiling mounted launch monitor made in Canada. It looks promising and very affordable
It’s the Monster Mat. If you want a discount on it, find the video on my channel reviewing it, and there will be a code. Sorry I don’t have the link handy.
Hi, I just bought Golfzon Wave and I was little bit struglling to connect device and internet at the same time. Are you able to use outer internet while using device via Wifi, like what Skytrak network mode did.
Why doesn't the putting matt line up with the screen though? That's a huge downfall, how do you calculate your aim if you ball is not in line with the hole? Looked like that messed you up a couple times with your putting.
Hi! I have been watching your videos, and I want to make a home simulator in my garage, but I have one cuestion: How much height do I need? i have plenty of space but not much height... Thanks for your answer
The unfortunate side effect of home golf simulators is the reduction in people visit the actual golf course, which will lead to higher green fees and/or golf course bankruptcy. With ever increasing property taxes and maintenance costs....golf courses will start closing down if they aren't making revenue. Personally, there is no such thing as the real open air experience of a golf course. Maybe if I put a fan to simulate wind and some pine scented candles in the golf simulator room to make it feels like there trees in there.. lol
It’s a great point, but I also think putting some pressure on golf course prices is needed. I live in Southern California and yes, there are some municipals that I can play for 40 bucks, but the beautiful courses, like the ones on GSPro are hundreds and out of the reach of many. I think one of the great benefits to home simulators is it brings golf to people that might not be able to either physically or financially play golf on a regular basis. I do agree with you, though, there is nothing better than playing golf on a lush course on a crisp morning somewhere beautiful.
I love your point about how the Wave is more of a simulator first device vs. the Trackman or something equivalent. I currently have a Skytrak and was contemplating switching to either the Skytrak+, GC3, or the Bushnell but it seems the Wave will be more up my alley as I'm less about the data and more about the actual play during the off-seasons. I always felt that most simulators were pretty clunky when it came to actual gameplay but great for data and couldn't put my finger on why... After your explanations though, it makes a lot more sense. What's your opinion on the actual portability of the Wave? Seems a bit of a hassle to pack up and move based on the number of components and measurements required for setup.
This is way too Mickey Mouse for me. I am sad and numbers guy and the Korean feel would drive me crazy. Especially the numbers to the 100th of a decimal!
4000$ plus membership of 200$ or more. Consumers say no. Any simulator not in the hundreds should e ignored imo. This industry is a mess. Right now I say get an mlm 2 pro. Until someone surpasses their value. This is not even close.
For $3,995 think I would Go with SkyTrak Plus.. Company has been around a long time and having experience with Original SkyTrak I found it to be very accurate and works in even smaller spaces.
What are you smoking, because this isn’t a flash in the pan company… they sell ultra high end/commercial products in the space already and successfully.
I own both and accuracy is spot on for both. Only about 1-2% margin of difference for most shots. The major difference is putting, Skytrak sucks with putting (obviously, as it wasn't really designed with putting as a main feature). Skytrak only wins out completely in how fast it is to setup. Other than that, you're getting what you pay for.
@@ooojonooo How are the backspin and and sidespin numbers on the Wave compared the the Skytrak+? It is a single radar device but doesn't use metal dots on the ball or need RCT balls. I think it sits in a good sweet spot as long as they keep the subscriptions reasonable.

I have a GC3 and love the auto putt feature. Can’t imagine doing sim putting unless I have a fancy home setup with an actual cup to aim at
You could also try something like a rubber mat tee. I did that today and it worked well.
Thank you for keeping us updated on new tech.
You bet! Thanks for watching

I really like the putting and simulated play. But, I am leaning toward wanting club, ball and swing data. Does the Wave come close to BLP or Mevo+

Hopefully Trackman can make something in the $5000 range
What mid range LM would you recommend for serious practice in an outside net. Something that includes club data. Many thanks.
What kind of hitting mat you using? I’m having issues with feet indent on my tee strike mat and looking to replace. TIA, and nice video.

18 feet no gs pro this thing is DOA
Can you voice prompts in the simulation be turned off?
The kids are sooo funny and cute Gabe.
i have 17' is that enough for a good experience? L17'xW14'xH11'
Should be good 👍🏼
I wanna see you and kevin o'leary swap places for some reason. 😆

I imagine it could be done in the settings, but honestly I just decided to put a tee out straight ahead and I just putt to that.

For most folks, 10 feet is preferable. 9 feet I’d consider a minimum to be able to swing a driver for most folks.
구매처가 어딘지 알수 있을까요?
have you seen their high end simulators? they are the best in the business...unfortunately, they also cost like $75k
Only at the PGA show, they are nice for sure
by the time i can afford a house that can hold a simulator they should be cheap lol
They keep getting more reasonable for sure. Good to hear from you David
putting on golfzon ehhhh. have one near me....ehhh.

If they have Augusta National sign me up.
They don’t, but look into GSPro, that one does.
@LetsPlayThru // that is my dream course
