I don’t why the most beautiful, talented people think they’re not good enough. Pete had an operatically spectacular voice, and he was so gifted. I understand exactly how his mothers passing affected him. Some pain is just too deep to heal. I’m so glad you mentioned his marriage, his former wife was there for him the whole time. He was a brilliant, complicated man. We are poorer for his loss, l really hope he’s at peace. This was so well done, thank you :)

I feel the same way. Good looking guy with a killer voice. I don’t like seeing pics of him with all that surgery.
His mother was mentally ill and that affected Pete, being kept home with her, being awoke from his bed at 2am by his mother and taken downstairs whilst she did her makeup and hair, watching her constantly drunk. He had body dysmorphia and it stemmed from his childhood.
I’m not sure if he did have body dysmorphia, isn’t it just something that’s speculated a lot?

Pete was beautiful before his plastic surgery, he had a totally beautiful voice and he was amazing..its a shame people back then couldn't accept him for him being himself. His love for his mum and her love for him is adorable, rip to Pete and his mum, i hope you're both finally at peace at long last

I just started at the school were Pete went to it was called New Chester Road Secondary School and i bumped into him he was wearing a skirt i just didn’t know what to think i thought what kind of school am i coming to but anyway i don’t think i saw him again but years later in the early 80s i bumped into him again in a club in Liverpool he was brilliant we got talking and had a great laugh about our old school anyway he was with a absolutely gorgeous girl but what a top bloke he was so sad he was lost to us so young

You look at someone so drop dead gorgeous in every way and wonder why he wanted to change it. People would give their eye teeth to look half as good. I don't understand it. I guess he did what he felt was right for him. He was a great talent, with a wonderful voice. He is missed. Very good video about his life.

I saw Dead of Alive at the ICA in London in 1980. They were a great underground band with songs like Number 11, I'm Falling, Nowhere to Nowhere. He had a great voice and were great before turning into a pop band. Very talented though and great stage presence. I think he wore black contact lenses! Rretty scary!

i was about to post my comment but i see others already posted what i was going to say about Pete being gorgeous naturally without the surgeries. i was reading a posted comment on another yt channel of a Peter Burns fan having met him in person at Manchester at a gig and said ["you were the most beautiful thing i'd ever seen , then Peter looked at him in his eye kissed his forehead and said no you are the most beautiful ever created."] be it authentic from the heart or not from Peter to another person, we all need to hear that from someone time to time and i can only hope Peter experienced healthy love from someone in his life time. he held it together amazingly well for all the suffering he went through.
