Thanks for taking the time to be a Dad first and communicating with your kids
That’s right. I will always be a father first before anything else. That’s what matters most
You have my respect.
I have my eye on a brute force as well I like how they are set up. But it might be a year or two before I bight the bullet @@Treestofirewood
@brackenprofaizer2601 you will be very happy with whatever you buy from BruteForce. I tell it how it is about any product. And BruteForce makes great stuff. Any questions about anything let me know.
Congratulations on land purchase, thats awesome. Looks like expansion possibilities are endless. The deer blind, project is something I can’t wait to see. Have a great evening.
Thank you. And I have some pretty crazy ideas for the new deer stand. Might be a little over kill but that’s how I do things. It’s really just something my kids can play in and learn while we make it and hunt animals in. Plus it can be a cabin we go in just for fun. Endless possibilities is right.
Cute kid! 😊
Going to be one heck of a operation be awesome
It’s going to be pretty sweet.
I made a temporary 'road' with arborist woodchips through my 5 acres so I can drive my tractor quickly from front to back. Did it when the ground was frozen or during droughts when the ground was hard. I made it literally 1-2 feet thick and have never regretted it. I love how it keeps the dirt to almost zero and smooths the ride out. Driving on it will actually clean tires off - its a little squishy at first but awesome once you compact it down driving over it a bunch of times. Took about 100 truckloads to finish it (good way to use up woodchips / create good soil long term). Turns into textured concrete when frozen (I have tri-axels of logs on a hill when frozen and they haven't ever got stuck). Just something to think about as you build onto your new land / build your deerstand. Deer / turkey / other wildlife use my mulch road as a highway now.
Yeah good thing is I have another use for the wood chips I create on jobs sites. Although I have hundreds of clients that want wood chips. But yeah we use chips around the property all the times. Works great. And agree keeps everything weed free and no mud. And once drove on a few times everything is compacted very nicely.
@@Treestofirewood after 4 or 5 years of using one of my roads (this one more of a small tractor path), I made a new path and planted chestnut trees in the old path (which was awesome topsoil at this point). They grow better than any tree I planted before. I’m now in the process of covering 1/2 acre of a clay hill (grew nothing good) with a foot of arborist chips for a future orchard. I love firewood and woodchips - especially free ones. I’m close to a medium town and have a super easy dump spot so I get a lot of free wood/chips. Your kiln is a great idea - I’ve always wanted a greenhouse that operates in a similar way… now I want a kiln too.
@paulweakley3440 there’s always possibilities. If you let your mind wonder you will be doing so many things. I find that if I do that which is all the time. I’m always starting new projects.
Hey fell off UA-cam for a good while, been busy! Glad to see to kiln is working well, and that you’re prospering. Can’t wait to see the expansion! Happy New Year!
Thanks man. Yeah things are going well. Stacking wood that’s for sure. Happy new year as well.
Looks like an excellent purchase on the land. Hard enough to find good land, much less land that borders your current property. Should definitely be a lot easier to expand your operation.
Since we bought our property almost 6 years ago now. I’ve always wanted that property as well. I passed on a bunch of other land these last few years. It was a miracle when this came about. I wasn’t going to lose this one. It’s perfect.
Can’t wait to see what you do with the additional space how exciting
All exciting things. Can’t wait to have a lot more wood just in one spot.
looking good!! Do you plan on making custom cages for your kiln so you can fit more wood in at a time?
I don’t think so. As of right now. I will only dry wood that is seasoned to be kiln dried. Unless my demand increases greatly then I may do something differently. I have thought about getting bigger cages but if I really want like I have in the past I can get 8 totes in there if I put them side by side.
Nice setup where you from
Thanks. Wisconsin.
What happened to your other splitter?
The box wedge re split splitter? I traded that in on the processor I have now. I do wish I would have kept that. I just don’t like when a machine just sits around.
