I love the way you play this song. Using the D scale has helped me increase my speed. I have other sheet music for this song, but would love to have yours. May I purchase a copy of the sheet music?
Can I have some help? I'm struggling to understand the rhythm of the second half of the song, which notes get the downbeat, and what the measures would like like if put into music notation. Is this song in 4/4 time? The first measure of the second half of the song is D, F#, A, C#, D, D. The last two D notes are quarter notes, and everything else is an eighth note, right? What about the second measure of the second half of the song? It''s D, C#, D, B, A, F#, D. Is the first D a quarter note, and everything else in this measure an eighth note? What about the third measure of second half of the song? It's E, E, F#, E, E, F#, G. It sounds like the first E and the third E are quarter notes and everything else is an eighth note. But this would mean there's 4 and a half beats in this measure, and that doesn't make sense. But I'm not sure how else to divide these notes into measures because the way I have it written down, every measure after that has four perfect beats. I can play along with you fine, but I'm struggling to understand how to play this song with a metronome. I hope I'm making myself clear right now. If I don't make any sense, I would find it very helpful if you could post the sheet music.
I ended up finding some sheet music in the same key here on UA-cam. And I'm still glad to have watched your video because you showed some great alternatives to playing this tune. I've only recently picked the violin back up after abandoning it for years. I found your video to be a great resource! :) All the best.@@Fiddlequick

There are some syncopations, that’s probably what’s tripping you up. Email me at jquick@ecentral.com and i’ll send you the music.
