your Kruber finally realize the potential of long sword. LS is like one of the best weapon for Kruber, farthest reach except spear, decent damage, good mobility and surprisingly good amount of stagger. Idk why people underrate LS so much.
@@avandarkwalker9132 True, I've seen some people still riding the exe train but imo Xsword on merc seems pretty bad when you attack so slowly and the cleave limit for light attacks is the same as a rapier. It just doesn't have enough oomph and struggles heavily with mixed hordes to give up so much mobility. Brett however has heavy linesman, good dodge range, good speed, and a parry mechanic. It's just far and away the superior weapon.

If the enemies have more stagger resistance and cleave resistance here than on normal cata, doesn't that kind of screw up the weapon balance? As in some weapons like the rapier become worse because it can't really cleave anymore and some weapons like the billhook become better because stuff like being able to put any enemy into stagger 2 at any time becomes a more rare commodity? Ofc this also applies to stuff like instakill on whc becomes more valuable the tankier the enemies are.
@@core7822 I see, I remember seeing that the enemy mass was increased on slaves from 2 to 3.5 and so I assumed (foolishly maybe) that the mass increase would be similar on other enemies as well. If memory serves this would mean the rapier can only hit 2 enemies or barely 3 slaves at once. But I trust your assessment more than my own here. Also any thoughts on flail on whc. I was using it for the twins vanguard weekly and it was pretty sweet.
The mass increase does apply to all enemies but it affects every weapon. Its mostly weapons that rely on stagger that suffer if anything. So hammmers get worse compared to the other stuff for example. Its probably best on whc on slatz but i dont think its that great personally.

Longsword is kinda agreed upon to be best or 2nd best on merc next to sword&mace, isn't it? I'm pretty sure almost everyone likes Longsword on merc.

Almost everyone i play with thinks its either best or second best on merc. Its not used much on GK because its too well rounded

It does change it a litlle bit but rapier is still great because of how fast and safe it is.
