Do you live stream on Twitch or UA-cam - do you have a twitch channel? 👇🏼
Was streaming simultaneously on Twitch and UA-cam, but kept getting stupid strikes on UA-cam. I am a music producer as well, but simply do not have the library of my own tracks to not play other tracks. We are DJ's for goodness sake. To get strikes for playing other's music is a bit fucked off for me. I got way more followers, viewers, and interaction on UA-cam, but I had to stop because I didn't want my channel shut down. On Twitch, I've grown very little, and it's frustrating as hell. Any advice, or other avenues to stream on would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for what you do. Cheers!
I steam on UA-cam sometimes TikTok and I had tried twitch, but I had a bad experience on twitch do to muted parts of my play back clips also numerous emails from twitch about possible banned or strikes , I would love to try again, but I don’t want a banned or remove from any platform. I heard you state so many times on your video on how it’s so great to Dj on twitch, please if there is any way that you can help, I’ll take it, but for now I just stay on UA-cam, so far so good for this very very small starting Dj, I would love to expand and I can humble myself to try again
Not as yet, I am going more in the direction of Music Production tutorials .
As well as live performances
Having the same problems as other people in this feed. I'm a music producer / DJ and as a DJ I love to share songs that I love, right? As an artist I can assure u I love when DJs play my music, we make music to be shared!! So I feel like they are killing the scene with all these strikes ... Do u have advice for how to safely share other peoples music? There are loads of DJs who do it, how do they do it? Would a program like Snip work if the songs are clearly labelled? Thou I don't DJ from Spotify or iTunes .. is there another program I could try to title songs clearly? All advice appreciated ...
Thanks for the mention G 😊😊
Any time!
Bro this video is perfect! Salute 🫡
@@blendmastertv9274 thanks so much!
We love you and Loz! Thank you for the great content as usual. This makes total sense!
Our pleasure! Thanks!
Good stuff Grahame…I’m not live streaming RN but for me YT is the spot you can do the most things in one place 😎🖤🐓
Yeah that’s why I’m here cos you do most of the
Great insides Thanks mate! I am planning to get back on streaming and Twitch also seems like the go-to platform to me.
Wicked matey, deffo check out my 0-1000 followers twitch video next then cos it will help you grow on there! are you just twitch.tv/dantetom too? I'll give you a follow
Great video man as a new Dj I didn’t know were to stream yet even I’m on twitch and UA-cam for gaming that video help me a lot to figure out my next move
Aww thank you, which are you gonna go for?
@@grahamefarmerdt to be honest I don’t know yet but ur video help a lot to see wich direction to go to
@@grahamefarmerdtu think for streaming begener Dj UA-cam is the place?
Thanks great video. I've got a strategy for Twitch vs UA-cam now. Livestream and more mainstream for Twitch, with my more underground for DJ mix videos on UA-cam. At least so far I've had difficulty finding the underground streams and audiences.
Sounds great! That’s a cool strategy, how’s it working out?
Superb!
Can you explain how to put a mix up on UA-cam and not get it taken down for copyrights?
Yeah i can I've made this video that does that - ua-cam.com/video/btWIm_cVMOI/v-deo.html
Good watch thanks. I’ve been DJin 20 years but new to all this streaming game!
I’m not getting too much back off of Mixcloud so will give Twitch a go mate.
Any pro’s and Con’s using Restream for multiple channels?
Thanks
Glad it helped, twitch actually yesterday have rolled out new updates to licensing which now means major label tracks are licensed. When you have any small audience it’s best to get the all in one place, where would you restream too?
I stream on TikTok. House music. Lots of fun exposure and income is great.
That's cool, how's the takedowns?
Hey, I was listening to your video, but I have not received the right answer for my question, how to have at least 500 followers in order to stream on UA-cam. I have just started mixing mostly Latin Techno, Afro House and Cumbia music. My goal is to stream live on YT but it is not easy to start with it as an unknown DJ. I have had some streaming on Twitch just for having fun and practicing.
Been wondering when this video was coming
It’s been in the queue for a bit ha ha
Great post . What would you say about IG streaming for DJs
For dj mixes not so great, take downs and the way use IG means viewership is normally low. Doing a Q/A and talking to your audience to go deeper then deffo
Good stuff
Glad you enjoyed
How do you deal with copyright on UA-cam?
Check out this video - ua-cam.com/video/btWIm_cVMOI/v-deo.html
Just no monetization and depending on the song it can’t be seen so you would have to adjust the songs in your set
I registered and entered all the information, I never received the pdf🥺
Did you check your junk?
@@grahamefarmerdt Yes, I always check everything, I get the notifications and alerts but not this pdf, there is no problem, now with the video data I am cool✌🔊
Ahh maybe cos you are already subscribed, reply to the original email and I’ll ping your the pdf
Live TikTok DJ’s poppin off the past few weeks.
For DJing or interacting?
@@grahamefarmerdt Some DJ’s just DJ’ing but mostly been served mic’d up DJ’s interacting with chat while spinning. It’s not easy to find good live DJ’s despite the LIVE search option on TikTok but the algorithm will serve them up to me.
With Twitch forcing the new dj program that cuts your revenue TWICE, it's time for an update vid...
Deffo gonna be looking in to Twitch loads this year for sure, I'm still a big fan and have lots of friends still making great revenues on twitch, i guess it depends if you sign-up to the DJ program
@@grahamefarmerdt Look for ward to it, there's not many talking about it recently, all the vids are 3-6 months old...
Tik Tok The Best for DJs
Ya think? what music do you play on there?
I'm on Twitch but the growth is poor!
Are you streaming regular and at the same consistent time? do you clip bits for content for other platforms?
I need help growing my audience
On which platform?
@@grahamefarmerdt - I'm going to stick to Twitch for now..
800 hours a year comes out to 15 hours per week. Who the hell has that much time? Ive tried livestreaming and learned the hard way that a measly hour or two a week isn't enough to build a following. Anyone streaming 15 hours a week needs a job and life
Yeah I wouldn’t stream that much we’ve done 1000 hours over 3 years, we went heavy at the start cos twitch was paying me to stream so did 60 hours a month. But DJs id just do one or two streams a week and do 2 hours cos you build a good audience over the 2 hours.
@@grahamefarmerdthow was the money with those numbers?
Kick.On twitch nothing ever happened .UA-cam censors copyrights and all roundfcks with you unless you unless you are making them shttonnes of money then you can do whatever you like
Yeah twitch for DJing is the one, and getting better with their new DJ program. UA-cam is good if you test the music first and make sure it doesn't get takendown
Neither. Do it at a club. If you can't do that you have already failed.
What if there are no clubs in your area or no scene?
@@grahamefarmerdt Same as everyone else. You create one. I honesty can't believe you just asked that.
@@damienthorn1340 Cool that's fair but what if there is no venues and if you try to build a scene, people just don't like dance music. Then stop? Also what about all the people that just don't want to be nightclubs till 5am cos they are of an age where they are happy streaming online and playing music to the community they've built, they should just stop cos they are too old or lives are to busy?
@@grahamefarmerdt Read my first comment.
I'll tell them all they've failed then cos you said so ha ha, i guess that's all specialist radio djs too, guess they've failed too ha ha... that'll deffo thin the market...
Have you considered mixing good music to grow your audience? People don't like safe music and all you play is dadcore tech house. Just a thought
We don't just play tech house tho? we also don't mix on our streams so well done for tuning in...
You do you man, if you play polka edits it’s all good.
Big up matey
