I haven't been following my doctors knife addiction. I substituted that with other traditional knife patterns. Now they came out with a Reserve doctors knife & in a different take on the usual doctors knife, at a lower price than a normal RRR, so I have to pick one up. 😂I hope this doesn't open up the "I need more doctors knives" floodgates.
Thanks for the info. I just got introduced to doctors knives recently when I purchased a couple I stumbled across in a thrift store. I may just have to add this one to the collection…
Nice knife for sure! I got the four blade tobacco bone knife in the rough Ryder reserve series and I love it. So I’m tempted to get that one too. Great video
The bolster insignia and tang stamps are a classy touch, especially on a $21 knife. The comparable Case would be at least 3 times as much and off-center.
You are right. That is an impressive knife. I do not make a big deal out of a little gapping with the back spring if the blade action is good which it seems to be on your Doctors knife. Its beautiful.
i got a smaller one from RR that is abalone, i also have a sod buster or work knife from RR that is false abalone or mother of pearl, any idea when the abalone came out?
I have a couple videos that discuss the use of the blades. It was used for a variety of mundane tasks, such as breaking up powdered medicines in bottles, cutting pills in half, etc. It was not intended for any type of surgical needs (tracheotomy, etc.)
I gap between the liner and the spring. It’s just aesthetics, whereas gap between the liner and the cover is a structural fail. It’s why traditional lives are dished. Almost anything in Pearl is better! They only Drs I have is a rough Rider in Pearl and Malachite. This one does look good, but not as good as the pearl Parker one in the photographs!
Definitely a case of different strokes for different folks. I really like the bottom bolster but I know it is not going to be for everyone. I would much rather it not have the shield.

Looks like a pretty cool knife, and with a real Doctors Knife end cap. Nice selection Tobias, thank you.
Thanks Bro Gibson!!! always informative and interesting!!!🗡🔥🙏👍
I love the bolster with the logo

Really good looking piece. I will be picking one of these up soon. Thanks for the video and God bless.
Great review Tobias….
I love the jet black bone on that…❤️😎👌🏻
I hope RR will start using it on more of their knives….!!!!
Thanks brother…😎❤️👊🏻

I'm really impressed with this one. For the price it is hard to beat.
Very handsome knife, those covers are great! Cheers, buddy!
I really do like this one. The pitch black bone is gorgeous.
SMKW Rough Ryder knives are fantastic for the money 👍
Very nice size and shape to it, a great uniform even color to the scales, thanks for sharing it, Tobias.
Thanks. I hope they come out with other versions of it. Thanks for watching.

I have the other knife as well. Really nice. I will be reviewing it soon.

Just ordered this one, can’t wait to get it !

Cool!
But triple please make them with a spatula!!!
Thanks for sharing.

Wish I can help on the dating. Do you have the pattern number on the knives? That can give a ballpark of when it was made.
I'm always on the lookout for a nice gentlemen's knife. I think this one fits the bill
I would agree with that assessment!
Curious about the long blade, what would a doctor use it for?

That knife.......Resembles the folding dirk . That is a BIG spear blade. The RR bolster makes the knife. I like the big square bolster
I can see that! However, it is much smaller and the blade is probably thinner stock. But the look is there!
Tobias how come your not hopping on that grooved brown bone big belly trapper!!!!! Come on Tobias it’s a hot piece brother!!!!!!
I thought RRR are more expensive.
Some of them are up there in price. I'm not sure why these are so much lower. Seems like no rhyme or reason for the lower price.

Not a fan of the bolster. :o Great video though :D
