Really neat piece. I enjoyed the range story about the quarter. The cent, nickel and dime did not have the dual date for 1976. Really enjoyed the history of the original Washington knife. Take care and have a blessed Thanksgiving.
every time i get one of those quarters i think of the ones my sisters and i put on the tracks when the freedom train came to phoenix, as a family we didn't go but my mom took me after school to walk through and see the items that were loaded onto the cars from the smithsonian and they had lots of stuff, i can't remember how many cars there were but we stood in line from around 3 in the afternoon to dark it was a long time and right when we me and my mom were going to go in my dad showed with my sisters coolest thing ever
Wish I could have been a fly on the wall to witness Washington's decision not to resign. But then again, if I had been a fly on the wall at Valley Forge, I probably would have frozen to death😆Very cool piece, buddy!
Nice post Tobias, thank you. Always enjoy your sharing of history, stories, legends or "rants", very enjoyable. I've tried to find knives or guns that are the same type that some of our Presidents used, other than swords. I didn't know about the the real mop one. I've always liked the Camillus one. I'm waiting to see one of our POTUS or VP's whip out a wheel knife on camera some day. Hmmm we may have the right combo for that to happen soon in the WH. 😀
Hi Tobias: A fascinating history lesson ….. interconnected with knives. What could be better. 😊😊 Yours is by far my favorite UA-cam channel. Thanks much. 👍👍
That’s a great wee pattern. Living in the UK, small blades are more socially acceptable, but small handles are not so compatible with big hands. That’s why I like patterns like the Ettrick and the Wharncliffe. This fits right in there.
I don't much about Moore Maker. I do not own any. Rasputin's Castle might know a thing or two... ua-cam.com/video/FTcr233Y2Xs/v-deo.htmlsi=u7vEG_TqXt23ZHtm
The last silver quarters were made in 1964. Starting in 1965 quarters were a zinc alloy with a copper core. The dime followed a year later in 1966. Not sure when the nickel and penny became pot metal.
I was in the 2nd grade. I couldn’t understand why my teacher was crying but I knew something bad had happened. A year before I was doing the duck and cover because of the Cuban missile crisis. We lived in Florida at the time.
Another history lesson learned - thanks
I have the 1932 Washington knife. Never seen the newer one made by Camillus. Great looking knife and thanks for the history lesson.
That is so cool , thanks again for another fun video Tobias.

@KnifeChatswithTobias Thanks for the link, I appreciate it.
interesting and entertaining.
Is that a copper core that's cladded with silver? Coins are debased these days.

Where were you 11/22/63?
