Have you ever been to the cape cod canal? Your videos had me obsessing over stripers and I ended up taking an impromptu road trip to montauk from Buffalo. Halfway through the drive, my UA-cam autoplayed striper videos from the cape. I ended up taking a detour to mass and hooked up on my very first striper. Caught 6 over 20lbs! I just wanted to say thank you, I used all the tactics I learned from your videos to make my self guided trip a success.

What a school of bass! A rare sight anymore to see such a school. ESP here in south jersey. Makes me sad to see the reality of the striped bass population.

Wish I could back in time just to fish haha.
Just go back 100 years, and you can multiply those schools of fish by 50 easily. Literally blitzing all the of the beaches of L.I. Sound.

I had a honey hole at a nuclear plant. In the spring the stripers run up the discharge cannel. Since the public has to leave at 5pm and I am in security, I figured out the spots and what to throw. The first night I caught so many fish, my arms and back hurt. I didn't keep them all of course. Years I hit the spot. Some nights there was nothing. Another night so so and another slaughter them. Most fish 20-24 inches. Then there were the over 28 inch and they ran together. Then the wildlife commission stopped stocking them. Ahh the memories.

Took the Hobie up to Newport this weekend. Think they just moved through and should be hot and heavy in montauk now (or close to it). I’ll be there this weekend

I gotta ask. I have a set of Hodgman Mackenzie waders. I don't have corkers (sp?). Could you recommend an appropriate brand\style for these rubber booted waders i have? You're 100% right, my first visit to Montauk (this year and ever) I slipped and was lucky not to flood my waders, but did get water in the boots. Thx again, Rich. GL with the finger progress.
