I’m always left in awe at the Chop Chop/Partridge on Partridge sketch as it’s so incredibly well executed, performed and written. How Alan goes from buoyant and upbeat to disinterested and distant whilst Simon relates his late night antics before it segues beautifully into resentment and anger during which time Coogan is on absolute top form jumping back and forth between answering the questions and dissing Simon. Quite how many takes it took to stay in character let alone remember all said answers and flit between them effortlessly is unknown but it’s clearly the work of a comedic genius. Edmonds!
When Alan brings in the Sidekick Simon jingle after he tells the nurse story and tells him 'I wouldn't worry about it' with a pitiful smirk - Tim Key breaks character at that point. How wouldn't you? Steve Coogan is an absolute genius.
I love this bit. Makes me laugh me arse off every time. It's so ridiculous 🙂 EDIT: Specifically refrering to the fashion segment at the start...the latter bit, is rather sad
The sad truth is yes this is mildly amusing. But Alan Partridge amazingly funny, from the beginning up until the motel/him building his house. Then Coogan changed the character, best to retire this persona now
Alan and Simon are the dream team because nobody beats them at banter. Their's is great banter, it really is

Alan is the most comprehensively deveolped character ever to be on British TV. He has more depth than some real people I know
More depth than Andy Bradbury, that's for sure.
i love how Alan is immediately slightly drunk
“I would also add it’s comfortable, modest and good for Sunday best.. useless.”
Hahahhaha it must have been Lynn who sent him that message
Tim is so skilled at playing the characters low status 😂 such a skilled performer
Pioneering use of cannons always floors me
Bum time with Branning!

Decent
Colgate lady paste
Comedy isn't meant to be dissected, just as a joke should never be explained, otherwise it stops being funny..
I initially thought it was going to be men in skirts. 😅
Am I the only guy in the world that really doesn’t find this guy funny?
This is a video about two guys.
I suspect his (whichever one) humour goes over your head
It’s possible but hey, each to their own.
Yes..
… said Domingo from Little Oakley.

Unfortunately, Charlie, you are bang wrong
In what way has his character changed?
