Started listing to Phish in 1991, fun times. My father which is 82 years young always has loved this song. For obvious reasons he does enjoy his mixed drinks. Love you All and be Kind.🍀
This is the only music i can listen to tha gives me crazy chill goosebumps 1st time it happened i never looked back, was about 26 yrs ago.. man how this fun life flies
I was there with all our friends that night......very sobering night yet one we all celebrated as our friend Mark who was the biggest Phish fan of all died early the morning of this show when he had a seizure and crashed along 270.... He was a gem, turned so many of folks onto Phish.....all these years later listening I just smile thinking of his energy and how that is such a reflection of their music :)
+Jason Vest sorry to hear of the loss of your friend..my son has been into Phish since before Jerry Garcia died...he got to follow them the summer after his freshman yr of college from Utah to Va Beach.....he's now an heroin addict but just finished rehab and looking forward to a sober life after 10 years of the damn disease.....
Very glad to hear that your son recovered. I hope he is still doing well. The great thing about Phish is that they can bring everyone together! Give my best to your family
+Andrew Lemmon Its the phuckin' phriction, innit!? Crazy PHOOOOL!!!!!!!!!! (...................or maybe just too much phuzz, phrizzing their phluffy-pheet-phermals to them phunky phlip-phlaps that were so phashionable back in the day?....pphink it was phursday or phriday?.....phrankly, who gives a phlying-phuck?)
I sincerely believe that Phish will be discussed many years after they leave the stage. The color and complexity of their work - and the way they built their empire - has forever changed the way musicians earn their living. We are all so lucky to have had this in our lives.
i would agree with you if they had any songs...... technically cool music but i never recognizes any of there songs....chalkboard torture is not exactly a sing along......... The Greatful Dead is the band that will be remembered forever
I was there. About 9 minutes in, everyone knew that something special was happening. At 19 minutes in, I remember the lawn breaking into a collective smile; people shaking their heads in disbelief. And when the bathtub riff circled back around at the end, all I could do was laugh and look at the people around me...and they were all doing the same.
Thats what I love about Phish... With such a rich catalogue of live shows, you're always able to find something new and exciting... no matter how much you've already listened to.
I was at this show in '98 and listening to it 20 yrs later takes me back to this day, so many great memories from tour. This was before cellphones. What a great era to see phish in the 90's
I lived in st.louis and this was the best summer of my life, I was 12 and my parents were out of town and my older brother was responsible for watching me.... I ended up at riverport, the craziest circus I ever seen... just over 19 years ago.. man how time flies..
I just had a long coversation with a friend about Phish - and where we'd be without them.. 110 shows since 1997 - doesn't matter if you've seen 1, 10, 100, 500, if their sound resonates with you - it's life changing. See ya out there!
PAUL DAVIS So true. Never been to a show but got turned on to phish by my folks and spend many hours listening to live shows on youtube. As someone who plays music it especially changes my perspective on many things. Phish turned me on to dissonance.
See....that's EXACTLY how it happens. My first show was free nosebleed seats (the guys looked like ants) and I could already tell they were beyond talented. Got handed 2 backstage passes while lookin for my friends aftershow & there was maybe 10 of us, including band, and I'm walking up to like Trey, "Hi, I'm..... What's ur name?" LOL
nice Tai! nice Amanda! nice Paul! i saw them when i was in teh Army (dumb idea) in 1997 in Austin. tripped a bit, nothing special and wasn't much of a fan at the time. after the show i noticed police lights in teh parking lot getting closer. it turns out they were emptying the parking lot. out of all the concerts they choose a Phish concert to kick people onto the streets. i happened to drive that night. i try to never drive. my job in the Army was an APC driver so i was used to it. going back to Ft Hood sucked so bad. it was before 9/11 so we drove onto base without a problem, no checkpoint. then we had to find ways to entertain ourselves lol. still not a huge Phish fan except for the jams. not a fan of their silly lyrics.
Drove twenty or so hours from the Niagara Region, Canada with three friends. Dropped some doses and in no time was on Neptune. It was a phenomenal show. One of the best times of my life and after the show another adventure began. So happy to have seen the Grateful Dead and Phish and all sorts of other killer music over the years. Truly blessed.
Wow! Great minds think alike. I came across this bathtub gin in 98 and burned it on a cdr. I can't keep up with every show phish plays so I guess I just got lucky. I still keep it in my car to either jam out to or to share with people who wanna know why this band is such a big deal. Didn't realize it was the same version when I clicked, but recognized it immediately. I know this thing note for note backwards and forwards. Surprised it's still considered one of, if not the best, but glad to see it posted here. Truly an epic jam!!
This is beautiful! It defines the dark, dirty, silky, edgy nasty funk the 1998 summer tour had. The gorge was the blast off to the best summer trips of my life. The sound in this jam defined the whole summer tour. Greatest? certainly most epic carefree wild adventuress journey I had ever witnessed to date. Summer of 98 is My personal high point with phish. Thank you for all the memories:)
lol @ opening a show with this. absurd. the way they slowly transcend in to the funk starting at 12:00 - fish switching the beat at 14:07, hitting the money groove together at 15:30 ... immaculate. 3 1/2 minutes of the jam constantly evolving and taking shape. then once they super lock it in at 16:05 trey goes to shredtown. phish is good.
This is the one full tour my wife and I did together, with all the encore covers later in the tour, and thinking that's what it must have felt like seeing the Dead's early summer tour 1977. This show was my favorite of the whole tour.
I WAS AT THIS SHOW!! I remembered it for so many years as being at Deer Creek '97 but my ticket stub confirmed it! I remember too because I met Mike while he was out on the golf cart, there were a bunch of us talking to him and just as he was leaving I patted him on the back and told him to have a great show. And then they bust out with THIS - first song, first set. I was BLOWN AWAY by it then and am so happy to have found this and to have learned of its legendary status among phans.
I was lucky enough to be at this show. Imo, the greatest gin ever if not top 3. Everyone forgets that this song opened the show. Not too often the show opener has the best jam of the entire show. The energy was sick coming out of this. How do u open a show w/ this and then be able to top it for the rest of the night. And the rest of this show was pretty dam good too. The boys shot their load early.
My first Phish show was 4 days earlier in Dallas, made the KS show then home to St. Louis to catch this show. Bathtub Gin is one of my favorite songs to this day and I credit the boys for opening up in St. Louis with this epic version. Hopeful there was no permanent scarring from burns because they were all on fire that night!
same thing with me. a couple years ago was the first time i heard them. the first song i heard was the 10/31/94 divided sky (which if you havent heard by some chance, is arguably the greatest divided sky in history), and i knew right away that this was the music for me. now its all i listen to. im 16 and going to my first show at spac this summer. beyond excited.
Wow DonO and Chop & Brew - been watching your videos since the BrewingTV days. Never thought I would have stumbled upon you guys at the bottom of a Phish video! Cheers and jam on!
Easily one of my favorite jams I've heard recorded...love the 98 sound, and this jam spans some of my favorite flavor phish jams, from the climactic and jubilant runs, to the funk, to the gritty groove. Great great example of the sounds they were producing in this era. So lucky to have Phish as an outlet coming up in this world.
Umm....dat's effin goooood! Thanks for posting! People are claiming they rehearsed several looong jams of this summer. I doubt it. Let the boyz have there light, they are killing it! listening, jammin, loving, and simple just playing from the heart, with tons of practice. I Love you Phish.
Damn straight, haha, i for one was not old enough to enjoy this jam session so i appreciate being able to hear it now in full on the internet, and for that i thank you good sir. peace and love all the way brother
@cybele_mullejz not the best ever, but the Gin from Mexico this year was stunning. And the Gin from the Forum in 2021 was really beautiful. Just two that come to mind.
7:15 in and they lock into that pro-typical sound I love to hear these guys create.....this is why Phish will always be the best bang for the buck when it comes to live music. simply fantastic
Was at this show, such a hot night.. have never forgotten Riverport, that shit was absolutely what it's all about.. You live to see Phish on a night like this where they are just on a mission. Thanks for sharing.
thanks a lot for uploading. only started seeing shows in 09, but i love exploring the different phases the band went through. My biggest hope is that someone alike enough to Phish and The Dead comes along for my future children to enjoy.
2 of my friends got me into phish probably within the past 2 years went to my first 3 shows this past year at MSG 12/28/13 12/29/12 and 12/31/12 aka NYE went nuts loved everything heard 3 out of my 4 favorite songs ever! can't i ask for more..?! i'm 23 years of age next week, wish i was listening to these guys much earlier in my life haha
I have to agree totally. The grateful dead have a totally emotional feel to their playing. Phish has a much more technical feel. Each their own, Phish is still touring and I can see them live so I say i like phish the most. They are each so different, but usually if you like one, you can at least appreciate the other.
Their ability to play the same grooves on repeat for several minutes yet have each playback sound different than the last is the secret to their jamming success. Those breakdowns from 7:00-8:40 and 15:20-19:30 are awesome.
There is no “best” with Phish. Not as long as they progress...which they always do. I’ve heard remarkable phish 1.0 and went to a lot of shows back then. They have changed their style up a few times since. Saw them a few times in 3.0 and what they do, in my opinion, is take stuff from one era to another. It’s a melting pot of styles. You don’t think phish forgot the eras. Every best phish show is the last one they played. I feel fortunate to have been a 90’s kid that was introduced to phish in middle school. I’ll never talk shit about a band that’s given me so much. Every last show is the best bc it means they’re still together and performing. Peace
ok, i had middle sections row seat for this, was on tour by myself... i will never forget the guy and girl who sat next to me, at about 13:45 in, I looked at him and said, "is this still gin"... "uhh, yeah"... in utter disbelief of what we were witnessing...
I just listend to the Went Gin right before this one and I gotta say this one sounds tighter and funkier for sure!! Maybe its not as technical as a piece to play but the flow is just about flawless... Thanks for posting it!!
For the record, I don't really like the song. When they start playing it, I usually head for the Bathroom. I called it "Bathroom Gin". Still do. But I was at this show. It was the show opener, so I wasn't about to head for the beer line or bathroom. So I waited it out. Oh my. Waited it out. Then I'm dancing. Then I'm smiling. Then I'm catching my breath. Then I'm looking around. Im dancing harder. I'm feeling the energy. It keeps building and building and changing, and the next thing you know, I'm dancing like a banshee, saying "holy shit!" to myself and grinning from ear to ear. May not be the best song or even the best version of a song that I don't care for. But during the first 20 minutes on the lawn that evening in Maryland Heights, it truly WAS magic people. And very aesthetically pleasing to the ears, that rivals anything from Fall 97'.
Great comment. Love it! I caught this one too, and I forget sometimes that this was the SHOW OPENER. This is a fantastic Gin. I feel the same way about the Magnaball Caspian. It's the only version of Fuckerpants that I'll refer to by its "given name."
I went to my first show one night of the baker's dozen run. You described my experience perfectly. I looked around at everyone from the nosebleeds during a jam and said holy fucking shit
and there's the beautiful thing about music ... that ... feeling. was this the best jam ever to me personally? no. but this dude thinks so; and for him, and that, be happy:). and regardless, it's a phucking helluva jam, so thanks for the share. (~);} #weareallinthistogether
I agree, usually any video that says "best ever fill in the blank" Is not that great. This however Is great but I don't think it would make my top 10 list... There's just too many EPIC phish jams to make a list like that =]
Damn straight, haha, i for one was not old enough to enjoy this jam session so i appreciate being able to hear it now in full on the internet, and for that i thank you good sir. peace and love all the way brother ( was in response to this comment but whatevers clever haha)
i am a 38yr old man @ with the help of phish i can make thru my everyday up and down. wowzers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! give me my glass of milk and tablets of funk!!!!
1998 man I have tears thinking of those days and those tours. Never made it in this show. I remember Deer Creek being absolutely epic that summer. Or maybe it was 97.....you young kids dont know what you missed out on...These were the good ol days........peace
This was my phirst phish show. I was 17, and tripping BALLZ. The entire show was un-phucking-real. Don't believe me? Look up the set list on phish net.
I've spent three years trying to confirm this. I still can't find out if you were there or not and I went to phish net first. Your name isn't in the set list anywhere. :D
Absolutely phenomenal! However, I will argue this jam laid the ground for an even better "Bathtub" at Shoreline Amphitheater 10/07/2000. This was the last show before the Hiatus. Enjoy!
13:03 is where THA FUNK enters. This is the best Bathtub Gin they ever played. I know many people are partial to 12/29/95, Great Went 97' and the Murat Gin from 93...but this one is definitely the funkiest. From 7:08 to 22:40 is simply incredible. And the way they slowly sneak around and slam into the reprise/coda is just exactly perfect.
This is a very methodical, precise jam. The buildup from about 6 mins in to 13 mins in is measured, as though they are being careful to not blow a very good thing. You expect an explosion of high octave notes from Trey, but no... they then tone it down, slow down... entering a spacey jam... start building back up... and up... This whole time I have yet to hear a note out of scale, a missed change. It continues its mesmerizing flawlessness and creativity. Trey getting into his wah pedal... Fish and Gordo keep hammering away and improvising. Page never misses a note and his hands must be aching... God this is Gold. I am reminded of Trey comparing this all to cumming... this would be like Phish edging and edging, masterfully holding it in... then blam!
The jam section around 14 minutes reminds me a lot of the incredible AC DC Bag from 8/9/98. God I wish I could go back in time and revisit those shows I went to.
I am listening to the mike's jam from 3-20-92. I am alone in a warehouse (at work) listening to it on a killer soundsystem. this is really great sound quality and these guys are smoking. thank you for telling me about this show! it's crazy!
Phish has been recognized by their devoted Phans who have helped them generate $120 million over the last phour years. The mainstream doesn't need to acknowledge them. We are better off with them having the liberty to do just what they do unfettered by corporate record labels.

Very glad to hear that your son recovered. I hope he is still doing well. The great thing about Phish is that they can bring everyone together! Give my best to your family
wow! that must have been a powerful and life defining experience. may his soul rest in peace.
i am sorry, yo
RIP Mark. he is exactly the reason I go to shows. for the people that cant.
i'm impressed with how they stand so motionless in this video...
Andrew Lemmon I was thinking the same thing! Even the crowd...like come on guys. Boogie a little bit.
lol I just laughed really hard
+Andrew Lemmon Its the phuckin' phriction, innit!? Crazy PHOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!
(...................or maybe just too much phuzz, phrizzing their phluffy-pheet-phermals to them phunky phlip-phlaps that were so phashionable back in the day?....pphink it was phursday or phriday?.....phrankly, who gives a phlying-phuck?)
It's the stoner phish heads, phriend. There's a distance lack of life.
Yeah! Stone Cold Dope!
I sincerely believe that Phish will be discussed many years after they leave the stage. The color and complexity of their work - and the way they built their empire - has forever changed the way musicians earn their living. We are all so lucky to have had this in our lives.
The fact that I'm still listening to shows from the 90s proves this point! 👍
Agreed.
Agreed.
i would agree with you if they had any songs...... technically cool music but i never recognizes any of there songs....chalkboard torture is not exactly a sing along......... The Greatful Dead is the band that will be remembered forever
Amen, (9 years later on this post and 40/2=) 20 years later and counting backwards down the number line
I think a lot of people forget that this is a SHOW OPENER. God damn phish
good point!
That's fucking wild
Rubblebucket
Michael Benenati for real. , thing of beauty
Michael Benenati They probably got bent on Molly before walking on stage
Can't> Stop> Listening> To> Phish
Can't
Where is the joker?

I've had good results with Ether

Thats what I love about Phish... With such a rich catalogue of live shows, you're always able to find something new and exciting... no matter how much you've already listened to.
I was at this show in '98 and listening to it 20 yrs later takes me back to this day, so many great memories from tour. This was before cellphones. What a great era to see phish in the 90's

I lived in st.louis and this was the best summer of my life, I was 12 and my parents were out of town and my older brother was responsible for watching me.... I ended up at riverport, the craziest circus I ever seen... just over 19 years ago.. man how time flies..
insane. I bet that really blew your mind?
This is one of those jams that's both exciting and yet hypnotically soothing at the same time. Hard to explain exactly.
like a meditation
This is The Hose
This was the very first concert I ever attended, and I was absolutely blown away. Every time I listen to this song I get chills. Simply amazing.
Dan Dymek i see you.
To the left if the tower. Long hair and shorts. Groovy dude!
98 was a good year to break in. That summer was off the charts fun.
This was my first phish show and there fore my first live song. gotta say it literally changed my life :)

still not a huge Phish fan except for the jams. not a fan of their silly lyrics.
did you shit your pants?
Their responsiveness to each other during the second half of this song is the best that I have heard from Phish. Absolutely wicked communication.
Haven't listened to Phish in at least 10 years. Was a huge fan. This gave me goosebumps!
Gabriel Valencia Once a fan always a fan!
You still with us?
This is one of those jams that's a journey
CAUTION: this video will melt your face.

dude, the only thing i know is that i LOVE how many different amazing moments phish has had, such that NO ONE can agree on the best. end of discussion
It's like comparing apples and zubbleyjoobers.
Wow! Great minds think alike. I came across this bathtub gin in 98 and burned it on a cdr. I can't keep up with every show phish plays so I guess I just got lucky. Much Aloha from Maui. Mahalo for this awesome jam.
My favorite part is the part that starts at 00:01 and goes to about 24:05...
You help make Phish great. :) Thanks.
how original
J ez how kind?

Thanks to all those tapers spending their money and time capturing these shows. Remember trading xl2s tapes before mp3 or flac. Good times.
This is freaking phenomenal. The groove that kicks in at about the 15 minute mark is unbelievable!
Totally agree! Best part of the song.
This is one of those jams that can make me cry with pure joy.
Yep :)
Doesn't matter if this is the best. This is epic playing and so nice. Just sit back and let the hose wash over you. Wonderful stuff.
donosborn Ha! I found this tonight before getting into the bathtub. Go figure.
Wow DonO and Chop & Brew - been watching your videos since the BrewingTV days. Never thought I would have stumbled upon you guys at the bottom of a Phish video! Cheers and jam on!

9:48 is such a goose bump moment. damn you trey. damn you phish. i love you.
Stephen Roldan you nailed it..
Stephen Roldan and also 11:15

Of course you can argue for days whether or not it is the "best" version but you cannot deny that it is one of the greatest.
Great version. I was there. Best ever? Not a chance!
@cybele_mullejz not the best ever, but the Gin from Mexico this year was stunning. And the Gin from the Forum in 2021 was really beautiful. Just two that come to mind.
Also check out the Gin from LA '99 I forget which venue... might also be the Forum but regardless... top 5 Gins I've heard
Bands like this NEVER lose it.
IT.
This is the pinnacle of phish jamming. It does not get any better than this. BEST. JAM. EVER.
7:15 in and they lock into that pro-typical sound I love to hear these guys create.....this is why Phish will always be the best bang for the buck when it comes to live music. simply fantastic
Its always fun finding videos like this and remembering... yep, I was there.
This jam is totally BAD ASS!!!!! A true example of Phish's phinest! Amazing 24 minute journey!
Was at this show, such a hot night.. have never forgotten Riverport, that shit was absolutely what it's all about.. You live to see Phish on a night like this where they are just on a mission. Thanks for sharing.
When one is happily seeing flowers melt into the sea and the air evaporates into space one will know infinite possibilities.
Get over yourself man. What a load of horseshit
"air evaporates"? What kind of flat-earth nonsense is this?
ALL THESE MOTHA FUCKAS MACKIN ON YA STEEZ FUCK EM
thanks a lot for uploading. only started seeing shows in 09, but i love exploring the different phases the band went through. My biggest hope is that someone alike enough to Phish and The Dead comes along for my future children to enjoy.
Trey seemingly pulls those beautiful guitar licks at the end out of nothing and then seamlessly jams back int Gin. Awesome.
2 of my friends got me into phish probably within the past 2 years went to my first 3 shows this past year at MSG 12/28/13 12/29/12 and 12/31/12 aka NYE went nuts loved everything heard 3 out of my 4 favorite songs ever! can't i ask for more..?! i'm 23 years of age next week, wish i was listening to these guys much earlier in my life haha
hate listening to this song because i have to listen to it 100 times in a row, too good!
Iv'e never heard of a 24min bathtub gin jam. I loved every second of it.
I have to agree totally. The grateful dead have a totally emotional feel to their playing. Phish has a much more technical feel. Each their own, Phish is still touring and I can see them live so I say i like phish the most. They are each so different, but usually if you like one, you can at least appreciate the other.
One of the few jam that even if you stopped it at the halfway mark still would have been one of their best
If it stopped halfway through, it would have been like almost every other version of this song.
Their ability to play the same grooves on repeat for several minutes yet have each playback sound different than the last is the secret to their jamming success. Those breakdowns from 7:00-8:40 and 15:20-19:30 are awesome.
The semen left behind from this jam created the disco biscuits
HAHAHA
OutPhishin that must have been some bunk semen.
HAHAHA!
Poopin and beatin it in da tub!
Hahahahaha nice
Thank you! Ive been listening to full shows for a week now, and its looking like Phish can do no wrong at these full shows. simply bissful..
Peace
Man...I was at this show. Haven't thought about it in years...thanks for posting!
11/17/97 Tweezer and Ghost are the two legendary jams I'm listening to these days. One of the greatest shows ever. Best of Fall Funk '97 IMO
Mike Hamilton 2.16.97 theme from the bottom is the absolute best jam imo
I've been back here so many times!!!!
Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good.
ok, i had middle sections row seat for this, was on tour by myself... i will never forget the guy and girl who sat next to me, at about 13:45 in, I looked at him and said, "is this still gin"... "uhh, yeah"... in utter disbelief of what we were witnessing...
checking this out, Great Went Gin is my fav at the moment.
definitely the best one i've been saying it for years....glad to see someone agree enough to post it on youtube
This jam is all Fish. He's on fire. Just giving driving groove after driving groove for the band to sink their teeth into.
fishman one of the greatest drummers ever. that guy could go on shuffling rhythms all day..
It's the only version of Fuckerpants that I'll refer to by its "given name."
yeah I always head to the bathroom for bathtub....... what planet you on ace?
I went to my first show one night of the baker's dozen run. You described my experience perfectly. I looked around at everyone from the nosebleeds during a jam and said holy fucking shit

@@milliefee8194 seriously
I have hazy memory of this show. Thanks!
and there's the beautiful thing about music ... that ... feeling. was this the best jam ever to me personally? no. but this dude thinks so; and for him, and that, be happy:). and regardless, it's a phucking helluva jam, so thanks for the share. (~);}
#weareallinthistogether
Agreed, emily anne it is definitely a helluva jam haha
I agree, usually any video that says "best ever fill in the blank" Is not that great. This however Is great but I don't think it would make my top 10 list... There's just too many EPIC phish jams to make a list like that =]
emily anne #andwelovetotakeabath
Damn straight, haha, i for one was not old enough to enjoy this jam session so i appreciate being able to hear it now in full on the internet, and for that i thank you good sir. peace and love all the way brother ( was in response to this comment but whatevers clever haha)
Cuz we're all in this together...
AND WE LOVE TO DO MATH
Oh my god... this is why I love Phish. This is Jazztastic.
That's amazing how they stood so still bring that whole performance
i am a 38yr old man @ with the help of phish i can make thru my everyday up and down. wowzers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
give me my glass of milk and tablets of funk!!!!
1998 man I have tears thinking of those days and those tours. Never made it in this show. I remember Deer Creek being absolutely epic that summer. Or maybe it was 97.....you young kids dont know what you missed out on...These were the good ol days........peace
I was at this show! First ever Phish show...remember walking up to this jam right here!
This was my phirst phish show. I was 17, and tripping BALLZ. The entire show was un-phucking-real. Don't believe me? Look up the set list on phish net.
John denver
I've spent three years trying to confirm this. I still can't find out if you were there or not and I went to phish net first. Your name isn't in the set list anywhere. :D
@@heykoolaid2004 lol
Was here for this! Energy in the crowd was insane
Currently listening to this in the bathtub.
no way brett ;)
Don't forget to throw the radio in when it's peaking. Now that's a jam
drinking gin of course. i'm so clever.
we all love to take a bath!
Beatin 'n poopin
this was the first phish song that made me get finally get it. thank you poster, this jam is right up there.
Absolutely phenomenal! However, I will argue this jam laid the ground for an even better "Bathtub" at Shoreline Amphitheater 10/07/2000. This was the last show before the Hiatus. Enjoy!
The gin earlier in the summer at deer creek is also fire.
Shoreline 2000 is my favorite gin too! 🔥
I am reminded of Trey comparing this all to cumming... this would be like Phish edging and edging, masterfully holding it in... then blam!
@@brettrowell8770 well said brother! 👏 yes, I love this version. It truly is one of their best jams of the year, if not ever
It always amazes me that this goofball song about making bathtub hooch can produce some of their most epic jams.
The jam section around 14 minutes reminds me a lot of the incredible AC DC Bag from 8/9/98. God I wish I could go back in time and revisit those shows I went to.
This is a fantastic jam. Another one that still sits high on my list is Twist from the island tour.
still my fav that one.
We are better off with them having the liberty to do just what they do unfettered by corporate record labels.
the mainstream is put there to protect real music from fake people.
ggglassman fuck u idiot!!!!!!!!!!
Erik Barber you must be new here.
@@ggglassman he didn't understand that at all...
Ahh summer 98, definitely one of my favorite tours. So many jams and insane song selections.
The beat rhythm of the funk jam starting at 13:00 is brilliant ! IN. THE. ZONE!!
good call
Got to be one of their best jams EVER!!
Magna-Gin was pretty epic. this one is top of the list too..
+J Boyd EPIC
such a good gin, you could tell they wanted to keep going but trey had to hurriedly lay the breaks on it
Awesome post man! This is incredible! I pity the fool who stops this video after 2 minutes without listening to the whole song.
I believe this came as a bonus track on Portland 98". Its a winner fer sherrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Christian thanks man, now I can listen to it flac tastic n stop wasting time here
I toured with them for a long time. Didn't get to see this live, but deff my all time fav song live. Hard to even say that, after so many good ones.
13:02 is where the real magic starts to happen...
i'd actually argue that it is 12:50. That is when Gordo changes the jam.
i'd actually argue that it is at 0:01
Yea dude, definitely, after there the whole thing is just fire.
It's around 7 mins when trey starts playing arpeggios or whatever they are called
That's the part where we've officially entered the 5th dimension
Goosebumps (phumps) multiple times from this. Thanks for posting!
