Sometimes less is indeed more. The lack of rotating bezel, combined with the super comfy jubilee, oh yeah, and a fair splash of Rolex DNA mean this is one of the best, if not the best Pagani Design watches currently available. And I should know, I have reviewed 9 of them! Cheers, Jody

As an owner of 3 Pagani watches, I too would love to see them come out with a 'Premium' class of watch as you suggested. I'd gladly pay more for Glide Lock clasps (once you try one you never wanna go back!), better lume, AR coating, better overall QC, and more detailed attention to detail in their designs.
I'll be all over it once they make a 36mm model.
I think Parnis makes one with similar specs and price

Bought the silver dial one a few months back,love this watch,i got a good one no sharp edges ,cyclops lines up perfect and most important it keeps perfect time.Money well spent .

I don't like homage watches, but I love the fact that others do. They certainly have their place in the market. In this hobby, budget doesn't matter.
Been waiting for Jody to do this one. Although I have to say that the two-tone model is every bit as ghastly as the silver/blue one is pretty.

I recieved my green hulk pd1639 today July 20 2020. I am happy to convey that the lume has gotten better. Surprising. Even the bezel is perfectly centered and the cyclops is perfectly straight with no drooping as I have seen in some videos. I am very pleasantly satisfied and impressed with what you get for the price. Yes, the bezel still has a bit of back play, but I'm fine with that.
Last week I also got the pd1639 in black and gold. The lume is obviously worse on that watch, but something I can live with. Still something I think Pagani is addressing as we speak as mentioned above.
The accuracy is less than +2 secs per day and has just varied between -1 and +2 secs/day this week maybe because if my different activities day to day. I am really pleased.
Mine just arrived yesterday. I got the blue dial one. Came perfect with no muck on the back of the bracelet. Its class and even more so I got it in the 11 11 sale for £44.00. You can't beat that. Thanks for the videos. Keep them coming. 👍 ⌚

My Pagani GMT is on a jubilee bracelet and like it, a little stiff, but still decent for the price, haven't had any issues to-date. Another great video and review!

Rolex makes a premium version of this as well. Unfortunately it doesn't come with the Seiko movement, though.
San Martin doesn't even come close to Pagani in terms of variety and is quite a bit more expensive (200+ dollars). Pagani just has every Rolex copied and San Martin only has submariner and explorer or datejust? They also have daytona but the dial is way off from the real daytona.
Hey Jody, another good review. I have a vintage 1975 Datejust with the 1570 caliber and engine turned bezel. It's just a beautiful watch with its simplicity in design. The Pagani presents just as nice. The blue is a beaut and most people will look at it as a very good looking watch and won't even know it's a homage unless they happen to be a knowledgeable collector. I think a top ten would be a good idea. Stay safe.
Totally with you on the 'pagani premium' aspect. My Pagani daytona is beautiful, but screw links came undone and the ceramic bezel needed to be glued back on after it fell off, still it only cost £46 so can't complain about having to tighten up a couple of screws and a dab of araldite
They just released the GMT with a jubilee. Got my hands on one and it's definitely better than the other bracelet. Changes the look completely.
Hello Jody, I picked up the cocktail PD and for the money I can't complain. I agree that a little more money on QC would not hurt them, however for the cost they can't be beat.

Excellent thoughts Jody. I picked up the Blue dial and it was excellent, even the finishing of the inside of the bracelet was all smooth at it should be. It is big and top heavy like you said and the thin hands compared to the markers did give me a feeling of imbalance in the proportions. But end of the day, this model is fantastic as a daily wear. I agree with other posters, a 36mm version would get my money. Thanks again!

Absolutely agree on the 'premium range' for a few more bucks idea, Jody. I am NOT a fan of the cyclops thingy over the date window AT ALL. Just take the bloody thing off (easy peasey to do, just carefully apply a little heat (plenty of vids on youtube which show you how to safely do this)and voila! A bit of a clean up of any remaining cement on the dial and you have a way better visual experience.
I paid just over eighty quid (UK) for their Hulk Copage, and I can honestly say it is superb. No QC issues what so ever, maybe I just got lucky ?? But for that sort of out lay, I am well happy with it. Bought that after seeing your review. Since subscribing to your channel, you've cost me quite a lot of money LOL.

Apart from the commentary and T-shirts, I'm an interested viewer because your wrist is the same size as mine. It's like having a virtual try-out. I find the sweet spot for me to be between 40-43mm. Anything less feels like a kid's watch. Thanks for the great work.

A plus: a standard 6 notches caseback, that you can open without fancy tools. I cannot stand those ripoffs - er, homages that use a Rolex style caseback: I don't think you need an official authorized retailer to regulate or service a Pagani "Design", and I suspect that a Rolex dealer would not react favourably to someone bringing in a Pagani for a quick regulation.

God, imagine if they dipped their toes into Seiko homages. Picture a $75-100 SKX with sapphire and that jubilee.
Plenty of those around mate by the likes of Steeldive etc. They are about $125. Cheers!
@@JustOneMoreWatch I've got a gorgeous, bronze Heimdallr SKX. But I'd love to see Pagani make one, since we'd get solid endlinks and a milled clasp for even less. The cheapest solid endlink SKX I've seen is Heimdallr, and that's $150-170. Steeldive's uses the same hollow ones as Seiko. Honestly, though, if PD offered C3 lume for under $100, I'd take a Vostok-level bracelet.

Great idea Jody, Pagani Premium range would be awesome. If you get some good feedback here, do convey it to Pagani. The only issue there would be them increasing the price without sufficiently increasing the features and QC to match it.
I bought their 1651 on a steel bracelet based on your reviews, and its really a lot of watch for the money, I love it.

Nice one, and has the gold tone held up, because I’m planning to buy one and go swimming hence the 100m water resistance, but worried the gold colour will fade off
@tomsamson8727 it has held up nicely, although I'm not sure if will hold up if it is chlorine water repeatedly.
But casual wear it has held its color.

Hello Jody! I recently found a watch from this chinese brand called Boderry. Here are the specs, 40mm titanium case, skeleton dial, saphire crystal, open caseback, has some lume, a high beat automatic movement with 80 hours power reserve and all of this for the price of 150 usd. I would love it if you could take a look at this and maybe review it because I like the specs but a review from you would be perfect!

If Pagani could sort out the shaky QC issues, I would buy a premium line in the $300(ish) range. They’re great for the prices they’re at, but they could really keep up with the likes of San Martin, Cronos and Sugess if they wanted to. And a few more original designs. That would be ideal

I must remember to lower the volume before your "Hello!!!"....but I love it 😄! Just received my 1645 and it's well made...just a little bit too big

there are smaller ones from cadisen and parnis, but man they always get somethign wrong: hands too short, bezel width not proportional (too thin), ugly clasp. oh well, i'm sure they'll get it right someday lol.
san martin got it right, but it's more expensive.
Not sure if that is likely to happen soon. Correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve heard that Russia and the Middle East are huge market for AE watches and in these countries the preference is for a giant, ‘frisbee of a watch’ on the wrist. This one seems relatively modest in comparison to some other PD models. 😆

Great video - I bought one of these 1645's recently ( the navy blue dial ) and as you say is super-comfortable to wear and looks quite elegant on the wrist. Very different to the 'Hulk' Submariner which I've also got. The proof will be in the longevity of these watches but they look like they are incredible value for money.
I used to have a datejust. A real one. I really want this bad lad. Just got to wait a few more weeks for my paycheck. Awesome.

The Czech Repulic warehouse is indeed a huge advantage. Got one in about 6 days (Austria) vs the usual 25-60 days from China.
Ordered a watch in China a month ago, still waiting... so a warehouse here is really better!

I live in the Czech Republic, and (obviously) have been ordering my Pagani watches on AliExpress choosing their Czech warehouse. Yet, strangely, they aren't sent from here, but rather are sent from Germany. Not what I expected at all.

According to the tracking mine also went over Germany for some reason. Maybe it's nominally in Czechia close to the border but uses German logistics because... I don't know.

I bought this exact Pagani model off Amazon and the case had Rolex engravings on it lol. I'm fairly certain these Paganis are just rebadged Rolex replicas so they can get away with selling them on online retailers

The blue dial one is just beautiful ! I would also like them to invest a little bit more in their watches fix the little things polish them out as much as they can and bump it up to 100-110 dollars. I am gonna buy this watch 100% in the next few days. If they see this video and start making better and a little bit more expensive watches I will buy it again ! :D

I've bought the blue dial a couple of months ago and I am really satisfied with it. Great specs for the money and I was really surprised with the accuracy: 2 seconds a day!
Now I have my second Pagani Design in the way and it is the Batman homage.

The bracelet on mine is well finished and I like the screw links, the quick adjust is a joke though.
