I was lucky to hear Dimash sing it live at his concert in Moscow in 2019. It was truly amazing. While Dimash inspired Igor to compose a lot of new music again , we have to understand that Igor is a well off music producer, record company owner, producer of several tv-shows etc so he wasn not retired as in not working.. And in my opinion much better 😄. The thing with the flowers has something to do with respect for the artist. It's a cultural thing. The audience listens to a performance without yelling or screaming that the artist can no longer be heard. No sound may be missing. In return, they then shower Dimash with flowers and gifts. What a lovely custom. I wish we did that here in the US! As someone with a performance background it drives me crazy to go to a play or concert and not be able to fully immerse myself in the performance because the audience makes noise during it. The band named A'Studio that accompanies Dimash, is the same one that composed the song minus the lead singer named Batyrkhan Shukenov, who died of a heart attack in 2015. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, (the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.) The tones in the middle are oriental Arab technique (or traditional qazaq singing, called Joqtaw. It is a lament to the deceased singer). The last run is 24 seconds on 1 breath.

For those who like information about Dimash's songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash reinvigorated the song (originally this song was sung in two octaves and Dimash takes it to 5 Octaves Vocal range). In addition, he added the final part, with a guttural oriental technique (where he makes a particular sound by rapidly vibrating his voice, and with this voice he looks up and then points his hand down because he was honoring the original singer of whom he was a fan) . The song was originally performed in 1998 and the name of the band is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakh pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", Almaty city). The late singer (of whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by poet Ilia Reznik along with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the long-haired keyboard player, which we see in Dimash's accompanying video. In this 2018 presentation, Dimash meets the famous Ukrainian-Russian composer, pianist and billionaire Igor Krutoy, who is the man in the white shirt in the first final who stands up to applaud him and who was retired and who returned from retirement because of Dimash, since he was the voice that he had always been waiting for his music, from there began a friendship and collaboration of many more successes with Dimash- Greetings from Panama

I have listened to Sinful Passion many times and am always amazed! The translation of this video was not the absolute best I have seen (“Daj mnie” [die mney] is more like “give me” than let me, but you can’t control the translation you received.). This version also missed the Kazakh greeting to the pianist who was also the composer and one of the original members of the Kazakh band A-Studio. Love your enthusiasm for Dimash! Cheers from Canada!
