Yul Brenner: Truly one of a kind- his undisputed unique looks, his voice, the cadence, his stratospheric intelligence, his depth of knowledge, his class, sophistication and his immeasurable talent and skill as an actor on stage and screen- unmatched!!🎥🙏🏿
I loved him as an actor. Bumped into him as a young girl in Orly airport in Paris in 1969. He was wearing a black 3 piece suit and a black Stetson right out of Invitation to a Gunfighter, (in France) you couldn't miss him! He said "pardon" as he squeezed past me at the passport control. I gasped and said to my companion, do you know who that is? Brynner stopped and turned to me, I smiled and waved and he TIPPED HIS HAT TO ME! Never forget it I cried when he died.
I am still in love with that man - he is one of the sexiest, most intelligent and charismatic actors ever. What a man. They broke the mold, when he was born. I wish, I had met him...
A tremendous actor, with unbelievable presence, and one of the greatest speaking voices in Hollywood history. I wish he was alive when books on tape came into vogue. Can you imagine him reading The Ten Commandments or Bible passages? Constant eye contact with his interviewer, Yul appears to be just an uncommon gentleman. RIP Sir.
It still amazes me that he didn't win an award for The Ten Commandments. His performance was just about flawless and he certainly had both showmanship and confidence as an actor and certainly knew how to command attention - no matter if it was the stage or screen.

Few actors in the English-speaking world have Brynner's fluency and eloquence in the English language. English is his third language after Russian and French.
+Krissa Louvae actually he said it BOTH ways. when Ramses was with Baka after the pillar for Sethi's jubilee was errected Baka asks him "Will you lose a throne because Moses builds a city?" Ramses replies " The city that he builds shall bear my name...the woman that he loves shall bear my child...so it shall be written...so it shall be done." Show less
I remember just after he died (1985). They showed "The King and I" on TV in the middle of the afternoon and just before the show there was a public TV service spot with Yul Brynner himself filmed just before he died telling people not to smoke because they could end up like him......dead. Very effective message. I'll never for get it. Love the movie.
"...Teaching is very exciting, because it is simply sharing what it is that you know, and nothing is more enjoyable that sharing with people". A very dynamic actor and man.
One of my favorite actors. I remember when he died. It was such a great loss. But he did the right thing and spoke out about how tobacco addiction killed him.
About ten years ago, I had a dream about Mr. Brynner. He was so friendly and tender with me, and he embraced me…I will never forget it. He was a true gentleman.💕 And I wish that he had never smoked.
Yul was a fantastic guest, but kudos must be given to the marvelous interviewer, Bill Boggs. I've never even seen him before, but look at the way he handles this wonderful, lively interview. This guy is really, really good.
what an amazing man, what an amazing actor......I miss him! Oh! to have seen him in real life in the play of The King and I! Adored the movie, but to have seen the play!! OMG!!
Thank you Captain Obvious. The main idea is that he could have been a villain, while his roles were mostly the part of the good guy. But maybe you're not able to understand that.
5:28 He is so protective of them, and that is what so wholesome. 🧡 Luckly we have this interview as a time capsule on UA-cam forever of him and that is what matters for all of us! 12:55 Actually i am from Romania 😂
What magnificent chap, I cannot forget the movie ever, but Yul is mountain on screen even legend actor like Steve Mcqueen both are amazing attacting Heros of Hollywood.
As a kid and comic geek in the 90s, I remember watching his old movies and thinking that he looked like Professor X but had the voice of Magneto. Little did I know at the time...

How did he know he was dying ?
Like my dad and husband, you are told there is nothing that can be done. The doctors can almost pinpoint the month.
