Appreciate the feedback. We haven’t had any issues in this department, but it’s a great idea for future iterations! Thank you for taking the time to check it out 🤙🏼
Love the enthusiasm!:) If your SUV is compatible/gives you enough storage options with a $70 cot - we think you should go for it!! Thank you for checking us out
@@HeleOutdoors well considering they have cots of the exact same dimensions length width and height as this and some even come with a sleeping pad I believe it will work just fine! :)
@@rosevillereaper9230 The length/width/height aren't what make it unique! If the vehicle has a completely flat trunk surface with a full length of 72" before hitting the footwell of the rear seats - your suggested solution works great! Most mid-sized SUVs don't have this luxury, so you are left with an uneven sleeping surface & a set of front legs that fall into the foot wells :( What makes the Hele Box unique as it pertains to a standard cot, is that every leg is independently adjustable and allows you to dial in a level sleeping height. It comes with a set of extended front legs designed to fit into the foot wells and give you the full 6ft of sleeping area. Check out mins 7:00 - 9:00 to get an idea of what I'm mentioning and let me know your thoughts!
@@HeleOutdoors its not hard to make a sleeping platform level dude.. ua-cam.com/video/25VBk8AOqRQ/v-deo.html Hell you could stack up some foam board insolation and get the job done if you dont want to use tools..
In your vid, I can see that there is about 6 or 7 inches off to the right that I would want to move the bed into. The wheel well is in the way. Can that middle leg be shortened enough to fit over that large bump? What if it was removed assuming that it can be removed? Perhaps you guys need to create an extra leg that's on the shorter side.
Good eye! The 3rd gen 4Runner's wheel wells poke out pretty significantly as the design of the vehicle is very closely related to the 1st gen tacoma truck. The middle leg can actually be removed and rest on the wheel well so you can close the gap to the side wall. We have another video in our channel that walks through it. There's a handful of other SUVs that this configuration can work with, but most don't SUVs today don't have as significant of a gap from the wheel well. ua-cam.com/video/VzemLaIpUnA/v-deo.html
We source the parts from a handful of regions - some in the US, some not. The 8 core components make it to our warehouse (garage) and are assembled/tested right here in Colorado! Thanks for checking us out :)
The wider side of my 60/40 split is behind the driver side. Worried that my driver seat would need to be too far forward to accommodate the Hele frame…?
Seems like an awesome product. I can never fully stretch out in my Rav4 because of that DAMN GAP between the rear/front seats! I stuff things to fill the gap but it gets annoying when I need to get those things out, and I've found myself filling that gap with things I don't even need on my trip to avoid this but it doesn't help with the limited space I already have for trips lol Sent you a message on your website - looking forward to the launch!
Will the extension add-on to the existing system and work with SUVs? I’m looking for something that will work either solo or for 2 people width of 42in, ie Subaru Forester Wilderness.
Thats the plan - we are still in r&d with hopes of releasing before the end of summer. If it does end up becoming an independent system, we'll make sure our current customers get taken care of so they have options :)
PackRack is doing the same thing kinda, but theirs is all metal. This seems pretty expensive for what it is and for only one. Also, it would be better if you could make it go higher like 16-18" max height for more storage options.
Thanks for your feedback! The goal in our design was to find a balance between headspace & storage. 16-18" might work for larger vehicles (landcruisers, trucks with deeper beds, etc.) but would put smaller SUVs in a pinch. The future will likely hold more iterations, so stay turned!
Good idea and better implementation of the REI Trailgate sleeping platform. Looking to buy something for my 2023 5th Gen 4Runner ORP. Can you think of moving it over the wheel well to get more empty space on the left? Love product and really want to buy and support you. But very expensive and unaffordable for me. Liked and subscribed to get updates to this product and price.
Looks like a well thought out product. Might I suggest some wider removable feet to help prevent damage to upholstery/ liners? Best of luck to ya.

I love this! I will be changing my setup. I took a work bench 25" x 72" and adjustable from 27" to 42" but very heavy!
This is SO MUCH BETTER than trying to level the back of my 4 Runner. I wish it was in my budget. 8-)
Can you adjust the length of the bed?
OR OR HERE ME OUT! Buy a 70 dollar cot and pocket the other $330 xD
😂😂 yeah no kidding!

Can you set this up so that it goes all the way to the edge of the truck and one leg sits on the tire well?
You bet! Check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/VzemLaIpUnA/v-deo.html
$400 seems a bit much, cool product tho
Will it hold cargo boxes on the topper and strap them down via straps?
Absolutely! You can use it as a stackable storage system and use the rails of the frame to attach your straps
sweet idea bud, if its made in the USA the price makes sense, hope you can work on the price going forward cheers

Great idea just really really expensive. Would definitely got one if it was more reasonable
Please , can you do mini van ?
Yes! We need to get our hands on one to film.

Do you guys have a 2-person bed version for lexus rx450h (2010) out?
We are working a 2-person version! Hoping to have it released in the next 2-3 months - no official timeline (yet!)

Thank you for the kind words & great question! You can absolutely move it over the wheel well to provide more space!
@pvpixelarts How does it compare to the REI one? I have been eyeing that as well. Thanks!

This idea is great!! I had a question, is the storage bag smaller if ordering without the sleeping pad?
Nope! Its the same size :)
Gotcha, thank you!
Cool product
If I want to order the pad later, is that an option?
Yes! We should have the pad available to purchase separately within the next month or so.
