- McDonalds in Serbia is too expensive and lacks quality ingredients. McDonalds and KFC are the only American fast food chains in Serbia and they are both way too expensive. A few of the McDonalds in this region actually closed because people didn't frequent them such as Zrenjanin, Serbia. I spent 950 ($9;25)dinars on this bag of food. You can eat a massive meal in a sitdown restaurant for that same price or buy a Serbian pljeskavica for 150-250 ($1.30-$2.30)dinars and have all the toppings you want and some decent quality ingredients.

You should avoid McDonalds everywhere
Zara :D You will not hear a single "n" word around you on English or Serbian. Serbian have racist words like any other country, but we usualy say "crnac" for male or "crnkinja" for female, which means "black man" or "black woman" and they are not "n" words if my knowledge of US and UK culture serves me correctly.
Actually, black people in Serbia are often welcomed with intrigue, because we have like 0.05% of black population as Serbian citizens. So that's why there is always intrigue and you will be welcomed even more then white or asian people.

1000din per day is not a decent wage, that's minimal. One family cannot make it through the month with that cash. Comes up to 200 euro.

By the way, the McDonalds where you purchased the stuff is actually quite interesting for us. That's the first McDonalds in the whole of Yugoslavia. Back then, when it just opened, it was a source of pride.

On November 3, I went to a bakery selling a hamburger impersonating the Big Mac in Vrnjačka Banja as part of school field trip, and it cost 220 RSD! It was almost the same dimensions and had perhaps some soya on the bottom, and lettuce filled with some shitty white sauce. My fingers were filled with that sauce, so much that I had to firstly eat the top bun and then the rest. I got the French fries with it and managed to somewhat eat all of it. It was so frickin' hot when it arrived. Shitholes. You have to get French fries and not separately. I was just a bit away from getting nausea. Bullshit.
BTW, the McDonald's cheapo copy is known as the Burger Plus. I prefer the domestic pljeskavica which is cheaper and larger than this crap. They increase prices and shorten things because they are dumb and want to be like sort of American satellites.

Eating McDonald's in any ex-Yug country is ridiculous ... how does McDonald even get sales? I am a Croat from Bosnia (living in Sweden) and the food in ex-Yug is far more tasty and healthy.

In my city in serbia we dont have mcdonalds but pljeskavica is way better and also one time i went in belgrade in mcdonalds and i said double cheesburger and apple juice and they gave me normal cheeseburger and apple juice
macdonnalds don't give anything for free in europa even here in the netherlands you have to pay for extra sauce etc

Haha we really arn't though or someone forgot to give me the memo. Maybe a small minority of people were earning well during the mining boom but that is well and truly over with now. Most of us just have to work damn hard to survive in an economy that adjusted prices to suit the miners.

Thats their Schtik, however what I've heard from people time and time again that mcdonalds in Europe, especially countries not in the EU, have better tasting mcdonalds than those that are in the EU/elsewhere in the world. This is simply because most of these non EU countries dont have GMO/Pesticide laws placed upon them thus being able to source MUCH higher quality ingredients. I've tried the Mcdonalds in almost every european country (along with in the US and Canada) and Serbia's is by FAR, way better tasting. This is due to them sources local non hormone/antibiotic/pesticide laced ingredients as is done in most western countries. Correct me if im wrong but this is by FAR the common understanding on the topic between myself and most people that I've come across trying mcdonalds all across the globe.
