Yeah. Honestly that proves people aren't paying attention to the new games. Though kratos regets his past, he understands that everything that has happend, has happened. It's time to move on. He has a family now. He should be relaxing and enjoying his life. If they are gonna end the series. Why not have kratos pass his powers to atrues, heal himself of any scars, and make full peace with those he has harmed, then eventually die peacefully after a life of bloodshed.

Nah, I don't like that idea. Kratos has finally forgiven himself for the countless wrongs he committed in his past. I would also argue that he's still in his prime, if not even better than he was when he was younger. He's no longer fueled by rage, he's learned to harness it and use it as a weapon. He has friends and a son that he has learned to love. And if you played Ragnarok, you see at the end that he has a path of his own to follow now, a path of peace.
That would unironically be the worst thing that the franchise could ever do. Stop coming up with these bullshit theories that would actively make all of the games worse, because you know they’re not real

Yep - in a way it´d be even worse than that *Atrocious* originally planned ending for GOW3 that essentially simply was a way to shove Fundamentalist Christian propaganda into the series.
Basically, in the original concept for GOW3 (that even got foreshadowed on a stone tablet in GOW2) Kratos would have killed off Zeus *within the first five minutes*. The Greek top god dying would have caused a cosmic power vacuum, into which the *Norse and Egyptian Gods* would pour in to take over. Kratos then would then ally himself with his counterparts within those two other pantheons and kill off all remaining Gods. Eons later, those three would walk the desert left behind and see a star appear over a shed in the distance - Roll Credits.
Yep - GreekEra!Kratos, a murderous psychopath and god-killer, would have *become one of the Three Wise Men and swear fealty to the Child of God*

The problem with this is that Kratos’s mistakes and wrongdoings were the only things that led him to end up saving the nine realms. I guess it would be interesting to explore how he will change his actions enough to not have regrets but to still be there in Norse mythology but I don’t see how that could happen

As cool of an idea as this is, it definitely doesn’t fit for a character like Kratos. He wants to move on from the past life he lived, and to forge a new one with his son. To have the entire series be just a dream would mean undoing all the story that had been created up until that point, and have it be for no real reason.
Young Kratos is not "Prime" Kratos. Old Kratos is more powerful and would beat his younger self in a fight according to the game devs and main director of the whole series.

My question is, why Tyr is able to get to Valhalla? as mentioned by Freya that she can't go to Valhalla because she never experienced death unlike Kratos and Mimir. maybe as a non canon what if game. Then it has the potential to be amazing.
I think players would feel dissapointed that what they lived through with Kratos in ragnarok never happened. So that s why non canon.

This would be so perfect, but I feel like it would actually mess up the game because people would be pissed that they were playing in a dream but this could leave room for Kratos to go back to Norse and make some right decisions like not letting the goat Brock die but the same time I thought that would just be a way to completely remastere the entire series
This would be the worst way to end this franchise.
The man is finally letting go of his past and making peace with himself. He came to terms with his past mistakes and found the power to forgive himself for what he did while serving Ares. He raised Atreus like a true father and moved on from losing his wife. He endured loses (Deimos, Pandora, Brok, Orkos, etc) and gained loyal companions (Mimir, Freya, Týr).
Kratos’ chapter should only end when Kratos has fulfilled his role as the new God of War that Midgard needs or “when death earns him” (-Kratos, GOW Ragnarök).

The thing that made old kratos was young kratos doing this would destroy kratos's character a god that regrets the things he did in the past but becoming better day by day. This ending would have made kratos's character arc pointless.

I watched the making of God of War 4 and the studio will never go back to Greek after Ascension failed. I do recommend anyone to watch the documentary since it shows us the emotions of the srudio during the game's development.

In the end of ragnorok we see he doesn’t die and Faye destroys the path where he dies because kratos earlier in the story said “don’t do it because it is written do it because it is necessary” also said something along the line of “prophecy don’t define our choices we make them” So no I don’t think he’ll die any time soon ( please pin this so people will see this this took a long time to write and so people know )
